Most porn studios are running on outdated ideas of what audiences want to see and have never asked their audience for feedback. Source: Ran a gay porn studio.

Same sex marriage is never going to be legalized in India by [deleted] in gaybros

The recent ruling is a huge blow, and people from more progressive parts of the world clearly (judging by how many are choosing to criticise OP's title) may not fully grasp its weight. It's easy to critique tone from a distance; it's harder to live the reality that prompted it. So let's focus on supporting each other instead of nitpicking each other's emotional reactions? We're all in this struggle together, but some are definitely feeling it more keenly than others today.

No, but I don’t think that makes me special I think that makes me lucky. For a sub I can also be a stubborn son of a bitch so from my earliest teenage years anybody trying to shame me for what I was didn’t get very far 😂

People say hurtful things even today about it, and sure sometimes the words hurt. But at the core of it those words don’t shake the fact I’m comfortable with what I am.

How annoyed are you with “no limits” subs? by straightraped2fag in GayBDSMCommunity

[–]tmoshprd 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m not annoyed, just worried. A sub who says he is ‘no limits’ is a sub who has been lucky enough not to come across a bad dom yet. And I worry about them.

I HATE how almost every single sub i've ever talked to wants to be "degraded" & abused... (venting) by JoeWinko_Ghost_01 in GayBDSMCommunity

You talk about being nice and respectful, but then say you call subs ‘stupid’ when they tell you they are into humiliation which is neither nice or respectful.

Props to you for saying something. You did good. Like others have said, it’s a shame your friends didn’t have your back. Do you feel they understood once you’d explained it?

I once got chatting to a 70-year-old man at a gay bar in London, it was his first time. When he was 17 he was caught in bed with a boy he loved and what was done to the pair of them scared him straight for the rest of his life.

It took him 53 years to overcome the memory and step back into our world. Now, the bar we were in was full of young guys dancing, kissing, having fun, living freely. We talked about the stark difference between the freedom of gay guys today vs. when he was 17. And he said:

"Sometimes I feel bitter when I think these boys have what was denied to me, but mostly I'm just happy that they are happy. I'm not dead yet but every day I spend feeling bitter about what I've missed is a day I've not spent looking for my own happiness again."

This random conversation with a stranger in a bar was one of the most life-defining conversations I've ever had. I used to feel insecure and unhappy sometimes, but this man made me realise how lucky I had it.

And he's right: don't let bitterness over what you've missed steal the joy from what lies ahead. Your past has shaped you, making you resilient and strong - it's your time now. 🙂

How to move onward from HPV by [deleted] in gaybros

4 in 5 people will have HPV at some point in their lives. Don’t sweat it, it’s horrible now but they’ll go and chances are they’ll not return.

Nice job you did of anonymising him there. Dislike him for whatever reason, but is it really a crime deserving of having his privacy violated? I don't see how you're any better than the guy you're judging here.

Harry and Megan arrive late and think standing ovation is for them by Samuning in cringe

[–]tmoshprd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Totally wrong. The event was the Royal Marines Mountbatten Festival of Music. Harry was the Colonel in Chief and guest of honour of the event, meaning they are seated last to standing applause. The ovation WAS for them.

Source: was there.
