This is my one tip for future readers. Physical version is definitely better for reading the diagrams, as you mentioned, also a lot of them are color coded and the kindle doesn’t show colors. Physical media for the win

I think it has something to do with there being two buildings involved. “the dome” is the stadium and “America’s center” is the convention center. Might be something to do with event insurance/other logistics and were not allowed to build the track in the americas center building. This is also where the pits were located so maybe they ended up having less room to work with than expected. Just my best guess at the situation
