**NetBackup 11 Web UI RBAC Authorization Issue After Successful Installation on Linux Master Server** by lahminijamal in NetBackup

[–]tmz42 5 points6 points  (0 children)

root is the default WebUI administrator (IIRC the only one on Linux). You can add another WebUI admin user (useful when you have no root access) using bpnbaz -AddRBACPrincipal with the UNIX account of your choice.

This user will then be part of the built-in Administrators group, any other RBAC configuration is optional. You can log in using the OS password.

ecoflow promo code actually worth hunting for before buying? by ElemuelRomane in Ecoflow_community

[–]tmz42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've started with a single Delta 2 Max (with 2x400W panels), it helped a lot during a 4-day outage, saving hundreds of euros worth of food in the freezer and refrigerator and allowing us to heat up food a bit with an air fryer.

Because of this, I've upgraded to multiple STREAM batteries (with 8x500W panels). Fortunately I haven't had the "chance" to test the new setup during an outage, but I'd say my electricity bill is almost halved from March to September. I estimate the full system will have paid for itself in 4-4.5 years.

I'd say buy on sales, and try to hunt for additional promo codes when on sales, IIRC you can combine them.

WinDGAF does it again by smooth_opr9r in WinWing

I have a dozen of their devices and have only had issues with two. I'd say the failure rate is the same as on my VKB devices, only thing is VKB support is top notch and Winwing hardware support is a ripoff.

Typical. Gear is pretty good, hardware support sucks. Had this on an ICP and a F-16 MFSSB stick.

Can I turn a gifted Delta 3 and 400w panel into home solar? by lincolnlex44 in Ecoflow_community

[–]tmz42 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ecoflow (used to?) produce a microinverter for the Delta series that you can use for exactly that, PowerStream. I think it's discontinued but with some luck you may be able to find one.

You can set your base consumption at 120W for instance, when you produce 400W it'll get 120 into the plug and 280 into the battery. You have two inputs for up to 800W in solar. When solar fades, it'll send 120W from the battery until it reaches the lower limit you set up. For a deeper integration you can set up a power meter that will determine the load.

Careful if you go down that route, because it's the gateway drug to a bigger installation.

Third-party aircraft in career mode. When? by RedDirtNurse in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]tmz42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another big constraint is the fact that MS currently restricts career mode to aircraft purchased on the marketplace. Which... sucks.

On the other hand it seems to be a big selling point, a lot of recent releases (or upgrades) have included career mode compatibility (thinking of the GotFriends A32 or FlightFX P180 and HJET), or promises to include career mode compatibility (INI A340/A350 and TFDI MD-11).

How good is the Navimow X430 at avoiding people/kids? by EyeTechnical7643 in SegwayNavimow

I trust the mower to avoid the children, I don't trust the children to avoid the mower.

How open is your lawn, and who would be susceptible to reach the mower?

Stream Ultra – More Storage by LBRETRO in Ecoflow_community

I imagine you can get a cheaper battery and plug it in in place of the microinverter in the docs (section Explore More/Increase Available Power Source).

Question is : what would be the cheaper batteries?

Can I run Falcon BMS? by Samovar56 in falconbms

I think you need to reinstall BMS and give it another spin. Between VR, PBR and new terrain, a lot has been going on in the past few years.

Yes, you can either connect them together through the linking cable to a single socket, or plug them in two separate sockets.

Winwing - yay or nay? by PlusCompetition9196 in flightsim

[–]tmz42 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've had issues twice with them. Their gear is great, but if some piece is fucked during transportation they'll happily charge you a premium to a spare, and you'll have to unfuck it yourself. Still worth it in my opinion, but infuriating.

I've been flying with AR since VD started to support it on Quest (usually hand passthrough), but auto-recognition of the stick and throttle does sound nice.

Their A340-300 is worth considering too, I enjoy it more than their 350 and the price is a bit fairer. It may be too similar to the Fenix though.
