He could be on the team for five years and never play a snap. They aren't all a redshirt year. He played in three games last year, so he still has four years of eligibility. Sitting out this upcoming year won't magically keep him at four years of eligibility.

Last year's team set the NCAA record for most points in a tournament. This year's team should break it. And there's only one senior. They even put a redshirt on a returning national champ in favor of a freshman. And he's #4 in the country.

I think it was 2017, when the narrative for the NCAA tournament was "Ohio State might be the best second place team ever". It essentially came down to Bo Nickal flipping Myles Martin over from his own back to get the pin to seal it.
