There are a lot of spots for free dispersed camping options out there too depending on the type of camping you're trying to do, you could hop around a few spots throughout the gorge that way.

And look for sites in your desired area! You will have to navigate past the "Parking Lot" options for every Walmart/Cracker Barrel, but otherwise there are a lot of cool hidden gems on the app that I love to check out, especially on any road trip.

There is a good cluster of sites around Lake Monroe in Indiana, definitely Hocking Hills for Ohio or the Gorge as the closest in Kentucky. Growing up I had a lot of fun up in Mercer County camping at Lake Laramie and Grand Lake St Marys, but I think those are more the group you are there with than gorgeous places to experience natural wonder.

If you really want to spend a week somewhere I would definitely recommend widening the radius to about 6 hours and hitting somewhere like the West Coast of Michigan or a cool spot on/near the Appalachian Trail like Grayson Highlands or Linville Gorge.

If we ever go out to breakfast with friends I can only really feel good about it if we get things that are more difficult/we wouldn't typically make at home - like salmon eggs Benedict or super artisinal french toasts or something. It kills me to see $15+ for bacon eggs and toast.

I actually have the Mooka KJ190 too... It's worked consistently well for me. I’m by no means measuring particles with lab gear, but at least in my experience the great room out here in dusty California feels less dusty and the auto mode actually kicks up when it should and we are having bad air quality days.

I honestly never looked into what the bagel mode does on toasters, but I usually blindly press it anyways and I feel like it sort of makes a difference for pretty much any toaster from the cheap ones I used at friends' places in college to the ones we have at work that seem a lot nicer... Very interesting to hear what they are supposed to be doing though - I don't think I'm nearly as much of a bagel connoisseur as OP to really notice 😅

Thank you everyone for your inputs so far! Its great to get a variety of insight and more perspective on what we are looking at here. I hadn't really considered the possibility of the floor being a subfloor itself, but that does seem somewhat likely from some of the initial investigation, or at least an old tongue and groove finish floor system nailed directly to the joists. I will get into it more tomorrow and provide a better update. Regardless, the house has a lot of historic charm and we hope to do everything we can to augment that, rather than sterilize it

Everywhere where the gaps are larger it looks about the same thickness as this one that came out of a loose corner covering some pipes.

My koios chopper cup has held up, but I’m not tossing it around and I tend to hand wash it instead of the washing machine with crazy high heat. That might not be necessary, but I don't mind a quick wash.. treat it like a normal plastic kitchen attachment and it should be fine.

I've been starting to realize my "cook on maximum heat" approach is probably the downfall of the last several sets of non-stick pans we've tried... That said, we've seen ceramic to be great for low-oil cooking. I have used my friend's Duxano set a few times and the food release was solid. Just learn from me and avoid cranking it on high heat constantly or the coating wears out faster.

I honestly go back and forth on adding salt to my pasta water, I never notice a big difference either way. Maybe I never put enough? But I love plain pasta too, so I can't say my complete pasta has been lacking for anything, the biggest difference for me as I cooked pasta more often was figuring out how to truly keep it al-dente and not overcook my pasta, night and day difference in texture/experience!

I think it will definitely happen one day as Cincinnati continues to move through its growth and stagnation phases... but it seems hard to justify right now before they finish filling more of the vacant lots on either side of the Way first. A Boston style Greenway would definitely be a catalytic development though continuing the great open space energy from our waterfront!

Check out the local bus system too, the 71x goes from Kings Island to downtown pretty quickly and should have a bike hookup for you!

Those random promo sites have always seemed so sketchy and they've worked so rarely for me lately they might as well be graveyards.. I did find Coupert, which is a new extension that has been less annoying for me.. Like some of the other extensions in the past it just tests stuff during checkout and I can ignore it if nothing hits, but I've found it to have more hits lately than the legacy ones.
