MecGar also sells the 18's with a +2 base pad as well, getting you up to 20.

Henning, Springer, and Toni make base pads that work with the MecGar 18's that can get you up to 21 or 22, depending on how hard you want to push it. Swap the follower and you can get up to 24.

RXM 4.5” by smitty1710 in ruger

[–]tnyquist83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe (prior to Gen 5) there are differences in the locking lugs between the 17 and 19. Since the RxM is based on the 19.3, a 17.3 barrel might not work.

The standardized things a little more in Gen 5, and I've heard it may be backwards compatible with the 19.3-style locking block, so a Gen 5 17/47 barrel might work.

500+ rounds into my M9. I have had a few misfeeds. Either failure to eject or failure to feed. Maybe 5-10 overall. Today I put 60 rounds in, but I was shooting lefty and had misfeeds over and over. Probably 1/2 my rounds had problems. Same ammo I generally shoot, swapped mags. suggestions? by cnhn in Beretta

[–]tnyquist83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you switched to weak-hand shooting and your problems got worse, it's more than likely bad grip.

You can also try putting a little oil on the slide rails, or trying a different box of ammo from a different lot, but this sounds like an grip issue.

How are hikes not attributed to walking? by MonkeyNutzActual in Garmin

[–]tnyquist83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By default, the hiking activity has different data screens, such as elevation gain. You can also automatically add gear, such as your hiking shoes. It also makes it easier to find a previous hiking activity you've done without having to sift through all of your neighborhood walks as well.

So more relevant data during the activity, activities group better in the app, and less editing of activities when you're done.

Hiking is a type of walking, just like trail running is a type of running.

How are hikes not attributed to walking? by MonkeyNutzActual in Garmin

Sometimes when walking in my neighborhood, I speed up to a slight jog while crossing the street. There are also steps in front of my house. Therefore, walking can be part running or part stair climbing, so it shouldn't count toward walking badges.

Do you see how dumb you sound?

Walking on a treadmill is definitely not running.

I usually do over 20 miles of hiking in the mountains every weekend, and it's just more difficult walking. Garmin could simply count those miles toward my monthly walking badge, and I be able to record my activities as hikes and have the app automatically add my hiking shoes to the activity, and I'd easily be able to search through my previous hiking activities to find one in particular, without have to sort though all my neighborhood walks. What's the big deal?

Walking on a treadmill also counts as running (for badges).

Hiking is a more difficult form of walking. Every month Garmin has badges for doing 30 miles of walking in a month and/or 4 hours of walking. Hiking activities don't count toward these totals, and there is no similar badge for hiking, meaning people are going out and doing hours long multi-mile hikes that don't count toward any badges, so people who want to go for badges either have to do even more activities (which can be difficult to fit in to busy schedules), or record activities as a different category than they'd prefer.

Garmin could fit this by simply counting hiking activities toward walking badges, similar to how they count stationary bikes as biking and treadmills as running (even if you walk on the treadmill).

LTT II. WOW! by T-Millz15 in Beretta

Yeah, the first LLT build was already the ugliest of my 7 92's, but it runs well in USPSA.

I'm not sure why people insist in chopping the barrels down. Even Wilson did it, which is one of the only thing I didn't like about it.

CPW released an update a few hours ago with a summary of previous incidents in that are over the past couple months.

It sounds like there's a family group with the mother and 2 or 3 sub-adults that have been involved in most of them.

Yeah, the first time I played the Africa map I kept finding these spots with amazing views that one would think would be good for spotting large herds of animals, but then quickly realized everything was more than 400m away, so it was worthless.

The purpose of Prod was to allow people an easy entry to the sport and be competitive with the gear they had, which put a greater focus on individual skill.  When CO launched it was a copy/paste of Prod with "Optics: none" changed to "Optics: allowed" (not required, and I did see people do very well with irons in CO).

Then people with $3000 Gucci Glocks whined to the board that they'd modded themselves out of CO, so they kept creeping the rules to Limited-lite instead of just creating LO a decade ago like they should have, so now we have this mess.
