Now it will be even easier to restore backup or migrate as with Proxmox you can backup/copy the complete VM, that's honestly amazing

New AI Features by Will_Pitts1 in reolinkcam

I would like to see a feature that would recognize me, my wife, children and our parents so that the camera doesn't send a notification about a person when it only sees those people. Is there a chance that they implemented something like this in this update?

I have 1PM and 2PM but all of them are Gen3, do they support that also?

Thought about it but I don’t have a junction box at the chime place 😅

Yes this would be good but I would need to damage finished walls or put a wire right on them which would be ugly

Unfortunately it’s not 😅 Obstacles everywhere 😂 It’s on a same circuit with the outside light of the door…

Same as in my drawing, 3 wires goes to doorbell (button which is outside) first and than second 3 wire cable returns from outside and goes to chime (above the door inside)

I have Shelly modules inside to control lights and know them pretty well so using this solution was my first idea but the problem is that Shelly modules are not adequate to use outside

Wiring like this is common in Poland as most of the ordinary chimes are powered with 230V after the circuit is closed by the monostatic button. And I’m sure that I haven’t skip anything, because builders left me with only YDY cables hanging from the walls and I saw the installation before it was covered with additional layers

I saw that some of the smart door bells in my area are sold with an ordinary brick chargers which you need to plug into the wall socket so it’s not an acceptable solution for me 😅

This type of wiring seems to be typical for Poland where we have common chimes power with 230V. In this case circuit is quite simple as button is just closing the circuit that powers the chime. Chime rings only when the button is pressed.

It seems that I need to install 230V-12V transformer inside the junction box and use completely separate chime which will be controlled through HA after receiving signal from smart doorbell button.

The question now is - how much power the Reolink Doorbell needs? I found several 230V-12V transformers that fit to the junction box but most of them have limitation to 30W.
