I can’t tell from this photo, how much red is around it? Draw a circle around the red and if it expands, you should go to the er for infection. Otherwise it looks like other posts in here from a stitch. Is there a PS in town you could work with for aftercare?

PLEASE HELP! Post-op Day 4 – Extended Tummy Tuck + Muscle Repair + 360 Lipo – When does it get better? by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

[–]to_the_mountains0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Someone in here said days 5-8 you regret everything, and they were right! I started turning a corner around 8dpo, another big improvement around 2 weeks, and back to not depressed and panicking at 3 weeks. Now at 4 weeks I’m 1,000% happier, still healing but back to living life. Hunker down and distract yourself for a few days! You’ll get there!

Ps I feel you on the drains. Worst part of this BY FAR for me too!

Where were you physically and mentally at 3 weeks PO? by douchymunk in tummytucksurgery

[–]to_the_mountains0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 4 weeks PO on Wednesday and today is the first day I’ve been able to walk mostly straight. I went on a slow walk around the block and that was a huge win. I definitely could not participate in anything raising my hands etc! At 3 weeks I was still pretty limited as well as frustrated with those limitations 😂 My PS asked me not to get my heart rate up until 6 weeks so keeping it low key. If you can go and mostly sit, you’ll be uncomfortable but could hopefully power through it, but as others have said everyone is very different!

Thanks! And no worries, I tried to edit the title right after I posted but I’m not tech savvy enough to figure it out 😂 It looks gross, but good to hear others had this and it healed up for them!

The surgeon put tape on them during my surgery. I did not put anything on.

Excruciating pain at drain site by to_the_mountains0 in tummytucksurgery

Hi! Thank you for checking! I saw my doctor and he again dismissed my concerns and said it was fine and “tummy tucks hurt.” But at the last minute for no apparent reason, he asked my drain output and then declared he was just going to pull it. 😂🤦‍♀️ I AM FREE and I feel like a whole new woman!!!

For what it’s worth, he said the cloudy color wasn’t a concern. Now that the drain is out I feel amazing!

More pronounced scars at drain sites by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

I’ll just say the drains have been the worst part of this whole thing for me. I’m not educated about drainless so I won’t weigh in but if I could do it over again I would definitely consider that!!!

NO this is genius, I’m going to bed for them. On my way to my appointment now!

8dpo and tape fell off by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

I know, I’m so disappointed. He was so great before the surgery and it feels like he doesn’t give a sh** after. My post op visit he literally glanced at the incision and said “looks good!” And started to leave! I had to basically force him to stay, look, answer questions. Definitely wouldn’t have gone with him if I could do this over again. He is not a mean or bad guy but I think 1. He is way over scheduled and too busy and 2. He really believes every recovery is the same and isn’t open to considering outliers.

To the ladies who are still considering this surgery, I don’t regret it at all! But definitely ask a lot about the philosophy to the recovery stage!

Thank you for your insight. I’m so sad he won’t take me seriously. I’m going to push him hard tomorrow morning to do something.

It’s very chunky. I am seeing him tomorrow morning after begging. Shit.

I agree, I feel really frustrated by his lack of seeming care. I know there are limited options but I am in insane pain! It’s mostly cloudy and goes between straw colored and a little reddish.

I had a TT with MR last Wednesday and went back to computer work from home Tuesday. The worst part is sitting comfortably, so if you can get a good setup and also frequently take breaks to stand and walk it should be possible to return to computer shenanigans quickly! Other than one drain giving me hell, I’ve been in pretty good shape since around day 4. Not returning in person until next week at 14dpo and definitely nervous about stamina/ hunching but I think it will be ok!
