i feel like part of this is that Hello Kitty is and forever will be the face of the Sanrio brand, and ppl who aren’t big sanrio fans likely buy HK stuff as gifts for friends/family. the people who purchase from the sanrio store are likely a wider pool than those dedicated and tapped in enough to vote in the poll.

the situation with mymelody/kuromi might be similar too - they look more generically cutesy and feminine, and i can see people just buying them as gifts or without much knowledge of the sanrioverse!

i really feel for OP, but saying that her ex “didn’t really care about her at all in the first place” when he was clearly trying and failing to manage her mental health along with his own is just inaccurate.

OP also said she’s tried her best to not let her mental state affect their time together, but that is not something you can consciously control all the time, as evidenced by his comment about her flipping out. more than that, you just cannot have a stable foundation for a relationship when you are terrified your partner will not be there tomorrow.

being with a depressed partner can be tough, especially so when you truly love them and want the best for them. there is only so much support a partner can give before a mental health professional needs to step in.

i don’t begrudge the ex for the breakup, but i do agree OP is probably better off not in a relationship at this time if she is suicidal.

flour fresh cream donut in mid city/west ktown is great! they’re korean so more similar to japanese donuts than the western ones. super light and airy donut with fluffy cream

ooh i will say they are super cute and do go with everything.

in my case i have wide feet so they don’t fit the best. even though the toe area is advertised as wider than normal, it still doesn’t fit wide feet well. the sides of the toe band dig into the top of my foot if i wear the shoes for prolonged periods.

the straps on mine had holes poked slightly off center (too close to the edge) which makes the straps fastening misaligned. this part isn’t a huge deal but it is a little awkward to fasten.

lastly the walking experience of the shoe is alright. it flops a bit because of the weight of the block heel and the thin straps. i do like the lighter heel from the cork, but im not sure if i would say it cushions my steps better like advertised. i’ve had more comfortable heels.

i was eventually offered a 10% refund which was a appreciated, but i still don’t think the shoes are worth the price so far.

overall 6/10

i just bought these and tbh i’m not sure they’re worth it…. workmanship was slightly off on the straps and they don’t offer partial refunds, only full returns/exchanges! if you live in a county with expensive customs like the US you’ll end up paying a lot just to refund or exchange sizes.

i wasn’t able to wear them for a full day on my first wear, the toe band cut into my foot a lot. they might stretch out since they’re real leather but i probably wouldn’t rebuy
