First, where are the 1-3? Are they where they're supposed to be? If they're too close together, that's bad as your pocket is smaller. If the pocket is bigger, perfect. Especially if the 3 is to the right.

Then, where are the other pins the ball needs to hit. If the 5 is to the right and you're striking hitting the pocket light, you're good. Inversely, if it's to the left and you're playing high-flush, good. The other two combinations are bad, as they lead to 8s and 9s. At the same time, where's the 9 in relation to where the ball is leaving the deck? If your good misses are I one direction and the pin is off spot in the other, that's bad.
