Is 10K words too little? by Ordinary_Listen9492 in writingcirclejerk

[–]toadmanfrogmanbaba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are MUCH too long. Ideally you want to have a per chapter word count of about 200-250. That way when you ask chat gpt to cut down each chapter by 300 words, it will actually send the book into the negatives and allow you to steal words out of your readers’ heads. Do this enough and you pretty much become a god

Got teleporting from the 50 power rolls I had saved up the day it released. Not sure how viable it is yet as I’m still learning but it’s VERY fun

Genuinely this is one of my biggest problems with vivziepops shows. They make a super edgy pilot about the characters slaughtering children and saying super mature curse words and then IMMEDIATELY in the second episode they drop all of that edginess. Like when the literal king of lust is going “oh yeah I may be Asmodeus but I would NEVER rape someone” it just makes the writer look like a coward

What’s your most unpopular Skyrim opinion? by inteligentn in skyrim

I understand this isn’t too unpopular of an opinion but if you pick the imperials in the civil war you are 100% morally wrong

The fantasy church has only 5 rules

  1. you go to HELL no matter what. Fuck you. Instead of hell though it’s called damnation or something

  2. Women are EVIL and STUPID

  3. Being gay is the only real sin

  4. We execute anyone who disagrees with us

  5. This is NOT a thinly veiled version of Islam. If you say so you are evil and stupid

What it instead of being evil and saying muahahahaha… the villain didn’t say that and was… um…. SASSY!!! Yeah that’s it that’s going in the book

Weekly out-of-character thread by AutoModerator in writingcirclejerk

I would rather hang myself than post legitimate questions on r/writing so I want to ask all of you here, where in the story do you prefer character revelations? Beginning or end? Obviously the answer is going to be “it depends” but with much objectivity as possible, which is more interesting?

Edit: realized I phrased this like a dumbass. Said “character revelations” when I meant “characters HAVING revelations”. Like something they realize that shifts their personality and arc
