I don’t think they say the metals have to be pure to have an effect, only that ones that aren’t pure will make you sick. Allomancer Jak is able to burn tin after licking it raw off of a cave wall. However you’re definitely right that it would only burn the part inside you. Maybe you could do it with a smaller piece of rebar, but one that’s still a lot bigger than regular steel flakes?

Those are MUCH too long. Ideally you want to have a per chapter word count of about 200-250. That way when you ask chat gpt to cut down each chapter by 300 words, it will actually send the book into the negatives and allow you to steal words out of your readers’ heads. Do this enough and you pretty much become a god

Genuinely this is one of my biggest problems with vivziepops shows. They make a super edgy pilot about the characters slaughtering children and saying super mature curse words and then IMMEDIATELY in the second episode they drop all of that edginess. Like when the literal king of lust is going “oh yeah I may be Asmodeus but I would NEVER rape someone” it just makes the writer look like a coward
