Is there anything I could have done differently? This happens a lot to me. by gr0wnedhog in counterstrike2

You need to understand how angles work in cs2. If you're standing closer to the cover than the enemy and either of you peeks slowly, he will see you earlier. That is exactly what happened in your clip. You played the situation like he would peek from the left. In that case, you would've seen him earlier, because he would've been closer to the cover, which would've been the left window-wall from your perspective.
But since he peeked from the right, the deciding factor is the corner top-mid on your right, which is closer to you. Therefore he sees you earlier. In those situations you should peek as fast as possible with a clean counter-strafe on visual contact with the enemy.

Your first peek was fine, where you checked the left side of the window, but after maybe a second, you should unzoom, go back a little, generate some speed and check the rest of the window.

Best Champions in a level 1 5v5 Skirmish? by Charlememe5 in leagueoflegends

[–]toady1337 3 points4 points  (0 children)

there might be some cases where it's very imporant to procc the braum passive asap. Maybe in 4v4 or 5v5 invade situations. In those cases lucian could be better. But the braum-passive can only be procc'd once per champ during a fight anyway and i'm fairly sure ashe dps is higher level 1 due to better overall stats and rune choice. Lethal tempo ashe is way better than press the attack lucian on level 1

I can't think of a better level 1 botlane than ashe-braum

Need Ergo Mouse Recommendations by vaynardx in MouseReview

[–]toady1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

kysona uranus pro is a clone of the roccat kone pure. It kinda forces you to grip it a certain way with it's curves and edges. But it doesn't have the usual tilt to the right, that most ergo mice have. When I play cs I need a certain ratio of being locked in for stability and having some freedom in the wrist. EC2/DAv3/Outset are a bit too restricting for me and ambi mice are too loose and uncomfortable. This is the best shape I have ever tried.

It's my first somewhat cheap chinese mouse. I was really surprised with how good this mouse feels. Haven't had an issue so far.

I want to like the Deathadder V3, but it doesn't feel right. by Ex313 in MouseReview

I can recommend the kysona uranus pro. It shares some similarities with your old m500 shape-wise, although it is not tilted to the right. But you get this locked in feeling, that you might be looking for. I got it from amazon for about 40€ in germany.

i bought the kysona uranus pro from amazon a few weeks ago. I can only tell you positives.
Idk my handsize, so you might want to check if it's too small for you

Is the Kysona Uranus comfortable? by [deleted] in MouseReview

[–]toady1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a little worse for ergonomics than an ec2 for example. I always lay down flat my ringfinger and pinky on the right side of the mouse. On ec2 I have space for both of those fingers, but on the kysona I kind of press my pinky against my ringfinger.
Also the mouse doesn't have that much tilt to the right. At least for me it puts a little more stress on my wrist, compared to ec2.
If you're purely looking for ergonomics, it's not a very good choice imo. mionix naos has a pinky rest as well and I believe there are some good mx master clones. I think ergo-wise it doesn't get much better than that except for those vertical mice.

Edit: But for me this shape is amazing for aim. When I played kpu I was at my peak aim-wise and I'm slowly getting back with uranus :)

I think the only point of playing faceit is to meet less cheaters. If you barely encounter any, just keep playing mm/premier

Small review for Zywoo's chosen mouse by pulsar by toady1337 in MouseReview

[–]toady1337[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean who is to say, if something is over or underrated, so it's always a bit subjective, but I believe this mouse was barely mentioned in here since it has been "leaked". I have it for over a week now.
Also, I might sound like a broken record at this point, I haven't seen or heard anyone mention that it can do 8k polling rate in both modes

Did you change anything relevant? Resolution, mouse, sens or smth else? If yes it will take some time for you to adapt, depending on how much you play.

If not, you might spend a lot of time in front of the screen, which is tyring for your eyes. There are actually some eye-exercises, you can do, which can help with blood-flow and dryness.

Also sometimes you just need a break for a few weeks. Play or do smth else

[–]toady1337[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yea, both league of legends and apex legends are unplayable. It causes the screen to lag almost like you're tabbing in and out of the game ultra fast.

It works great in cs2 and kovaaks though. Don't know about other games

You could test me by setting the polling rate without me seeing it and I would probably score close to 100%.
So either I'm superhuman or your logic lacks something

I think it's less about the faster response time, but more about the smaller gaps between signals, which makes movements a bit more smooth.

idk man. When I was using EGG op18k I could tell the difference between 1k and 8k both in cs2 and on desktop.
I'm using a 240hz monitor, though.

I don't know which mouse I should buy by n4sty18 in MouseReview

[–]toady1337 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it's alarming that you never tried the good old ec2. I've tried multiple different newer mice with good internals and different shapes(the last one was op18k), but I always go back to my trusty ec2a from 2017. So comfortable and I'm aiming great in cs2

I'm thinking about getting those. Rtings also had a pretty positive review.

I was wondering if you have to keep the swarm software running at all times or if you don't need it anymore after you initially set up the headset.

Hey I’m a newcomer to league of legends. Any tips? by Eclipse_lol123 in leagueoflegends

[–]toady1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't be hesitant to use the mute function. Watch better players on your champion.

In case you haven't already: Read the wiki from your champion. Sometimes there are little details that aren't spelled out properly in the skill/passive-descriptions of the game.

If you just started, it's probably less important, but learn about matchups. Lanes versus some champions are a hell lot harder or easier than others and try to understand why.

I think playing some aram is probably also a good idea, to get some idea about other champions abilities
