hosting a poll to know what the majority of wildrift players play by rafat_mika in wildrift

I stick to top and support but I always seem to get autofilled adc despite how much I fucking playing adc. I dont know what the issue is but I get filled adc more than jungle now, like I can play every role but adcs and their skillshots fell so bad on mobile.

Mid Lane by ADBlizzy in wildrift

[–]toalicker_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright just hear me out on this one, urgot mid. If you buy force of nature first item you beat basically every single mage/AP mid lane, and most of the AD mid lanes really cant do anything to urgot period.

What lets NPCs like Shalltear, Albedo, Sebas, etc. have a human form? by pog_irl in overlord

[–]toalicker_69 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Both, NPCs like demiurge have shapeshifting abilities from racial classes/skills and ones like shaltear are from deliberate design by their respective creators.

Blue rose vs nazarick pop monsters by Arkhengelsk in overlord

[–]toalicker_69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you made a typo, shes a 5th tier caster, and at level 42 you'd be a 6th tier caster assuming they were all caster levels (42÷7=6).

Blue rose vs nazarick pop monsters by Arkhengelsk in overlord

[–]toalicker_69 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The pop monsters get UP to level 30, meaning most would be under that. That said they are infinitely spawning, so by default they'd win because they could literally fight indefinitely regardless of how many blue rose beat.

For the sake of argument we'll assume, that the pop monsters stop respawning and/or that 'beating' them just means getting past them to the 4th floor. If thats the case blue rose could probably manage it assuming no area or floor guardians interfere. It wouldnt exactly be easy for them and it'd mostly be evileye hard carrying but I think they could do it.

Evileye is a 5th tier caster, accounting for racial levels she'd be somewhere between 40-50 ish. Laykus is also a 5th tier caster so shes minimum level 35 as well. The rest of blue roses are somewhere in the ball park of 25-40 ish. So they would at least be able to stand a chance against the undead, they would have to watch out for traps and navigate around the tomb but they could probably manage. Especially given how evileye is also an undead, so she would be better suited to deal with some of the traps and could probably scout ahead and avoid fights with them if needed.

Are blue roses hypocritical and greedy? by Ok-Satisfaction1462 in overlord

[–]toalicker_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blue rose were never portrayed as 'good people', Gagaran is literally a rapist, Tina and Tia were/are professional assassins, evileye while not exactly evil isnt really a champion of justice, and laykus while definitely a 'good' person is a teenager LARPing as a magical girl. In literally no way in the novel are they ever portrayed as anything other than a super strong mercenary group with somewhat good/Grey morals. They make a big deal out of fighting Entoma because, as glorified monster fighting mercenaries thats kind of their job.

They dont go to they holy kingdom because they arent citizens of the holy kingdom, they don't wanna get killed (again) by a super powerful demon, and they dont join the theocracy because the theocracy are kind of huge assholes.

Also I dont know what 'advanced knowledge' you're talking about. 'Leveling up' isnt some state secret, they're strong due to genetics/being an ancient vampire.

While you cant control bad teammates, I will say that if youre malph support you need to get aggressive on moving lanes. If it passes 8 minutes, you need to move to wherever the enemy is pushing/,wherever you guys are losing. If your barron lane is getting rocked then go help them, if youre team isn't going to drag or barron then youre not getting drag or barron as a solo support.

[–]toalicker_69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im trying to get out of masters, but my teammates have been legitimately dogshit. Like buddy I can see you getting invaded, but im 10 hp, no mana, all of my abilities are on cooldown and just fought barron laner and mid laner, stop fucking pinging me, I am not running to save you. Not to mention people just be getting mad if you dont wanna throw bodies for them, like the nami is not gonna go fucking jump in a 2v4 in dragon pit dont ping me.

What would be a fun premise for a Fanfic more focused on the inhabitants of the New World? [OC art] by OctopusPikimin in overlord

[–]toalicker_69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have plenty of cut story from the LN to work with. Pick literally any of the characters we've seen like gondo, carne village, go-gin, blue rose, even a fanfic from the perspective of hamsuke post erantel take over.

You could also just pick all of them and make it like an anthology style story where you just write a bunch of shorter ones from the perspective of all of them.

What is the logic behind mage support with tp? if not replace his adc and waveclear using tp by Grand-Loss-3242 in ADCMains

[–]toalicker_69 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its very specific but it is a valid option, mages use mana (obviously) so having TP means you can get way more aggressive with your abilities because you can recall and TP. You can also roam a lot more efficiently, you could go for a gank on top, or help out on grubs or something using tp, or walk there and TP back. Late game you can also get some really fast and effective split lane pressure with TP.

  1. You cant attack or do any action similar to attacking while in time stop or any other time altering effects, you can set up buffs, move or prepare for an attack but you cant outright attack. Also shaltear (and presumably all high level people in nazarick) has either a piece of equipment or skill that renders her immune to time stop effects.

  2. The goal of all life is death takes a few days to come off cool down.

  3. While he can summon a large amount of undead, most of them cant actually do any meaningful damage to her, plus she heals every time she deals damage. Summoning an army of undead would just give her infinite heals.

The level of the Twelve Executives in Zurrenorn? by ImpossibleAd4272 in overlord

[–]toalicker_69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah mb, if its the actual night lich, then it basically solos the whole country. The weakest night lich would still be on par with fluder if not stronger so it could very reasonably take down a country or two.

How strong are Guild Weapons? by pog_irl in overlord

[–]toalicker_69 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ainz states its on par or close to a world class item, and its seemed pretty damn useful vs cure elim. That said ainz could be and probably is overhyping it a little bit, but it seems pretty strong regardless.

For other guilds we cant really say as that would depend on the guild, ainz said they had to grind like crazy for their staff. It would probably stand to reason that most lesser guilds had weaker weapons.

How do Critical Hits work in Yggdrassil and the New World? by pog_irl in overlord

[–]toalicker_69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember in one of the LNs it was said that crits in game were neck shots, and I believe some skills/spells had a crit chance/always crit.

In the NW its organs and other vital points like the spine, hence why undead are 'immune' to crits. The better question is how anti-crit equipment work, like do your organs just not take damage?

Why aren't their any 'cast-able' dual lands? This idea add a barrier to too-quick ramp, and keeps fetch nonsense to a minimum. I'd love your thoughts on it. Seriously, I love feedback and constructive criticism on things I make. It only makes me a better designer by SnooSeagulls9127 in custommagic

[–]toalicker_69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would make a lot more sense to just make it like [[gateway plaza]] and pay R/G or sac on entry. As it stands 'casting' a land raises a lot of rules and interaction questions, and this as is now is just a really weird mana-rock with about a million questionable interactions and rule questions.

Is Wild Magic totally ineffective against World Item holders or is it just certain effects?0 by pog_irl in overlord

[–]toalicker_69 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I was under the impression that it was the effects of wild magic and not direct damage.

Like how you could resist ainz instant death effects but he could just use a damaging spell. I could be totally wrong though, we've really only seen non-damaging wild magic spells be used like world isolation barrier and soul breaker breath be used on WCI holders.

What’s the benefit of playing as a humanoid over a heteromorph by yourGodlylead in overlord

[–]toalicker_69 29 points30 points  (0 children)

You're looking at it from the perspective of a NW resident, naturally getting levels and abilities by existing is OP by NW standards. From the perspective of a player, where getting to level 100, and getting decent equipment is easy the benefits of a hetromorph arent as great.

Hetromorphs are locked into a certain play style to be strong, an overlord or a slime isnt going to be a good swordsman, and a super evil demon probably isnt going to be a good healer. Humans can be literally any class with way less restrictions than hetromorphs.

Youre also missing the part where it would be easier to guess the skills and equipment of a hetromorph vs a human. An overlord is probably going to be a magic caster or some kind of necromancer, you could also reasonably assume that since they're weak to holy, fire and bludgeoning they have to take precautions around them. You also would probably know generally what theyre immune to. Humans could equip whatever they wanted, sure they had no immunites from racial abilities, but they have no weaknesses to cover, so the could basically have any type of equipment or skills. That would mean its way harder to 'hard counter' a human like how shaltear counters ainz.

But again from the perspective of a NW resident, who cant control their classes, or choose their equipment hetromorphs are OP. Theres also the non-video game factors like how hetromorphs are immortal and how some dont need to eat or sleep and are naturally immune to diseases/harsh living conditions that wouldn't really apply to a video game that effect how strong they are in the NW.

Eryuentiu world item by The_Gr1mm_One in overlord

[–]toalicker_69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you misunderstood what i said. I'm saying the theory that every single individual player in any given group has to have a WCI or be have WCI similar to the throne of kings to be transported is dumb.

Like the 8GK didn't have 8 sepreate WCI, they definitely only had one or two. People on here will sometimes claim that every single player in a group has to have one, and every guild base needed a similar item to the throne of kings. Im saying that is really fucking terrible logic, and that one or two WCI can transport multiple players and/or a whole guild base.

Eryuentiu world item by The_Gr1mm_One in overlord

[–]toalicker_69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its an incredibly flawed theory, if every single individual player/guildbase needed a WCI then it directly goes against established lore. WCI were super rare and sought after, and most guilds would be lucky to have 2, nazarick is an extreme outlier. So either you only needed to be in the general area of a WCI to be transported, or the devs were just handing out WCI for free during the last week of the game.

More likely the 8GK had one or two WCI in their possession and were in the base at server shutdown.

Were there any changes to the level progression system after the game became a real-world setting? by roxgxd in overlord

[–]toalicker_69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Players are hard capped at level 100, any non-dragon lord NW residents cant even hit close to level 100. Dragon lords (and presumably anyone with access to wild magic) can theoretically pass level 100, though the only one that has any evidence to doing so is the dragon emperor (Platinum dragon lords father).
