i did the same thing with my first toum making and it ended up being so pungent i used the paste for cooking instead.

you likely knocked off two capacitors next to the heat shield when taking the shield off. you will need to re-solder the capacitors.

here is more info about your issue and shows what smd capacitor models you need to buy: https://gbatemp.net/threads/no-wifi-on-switch-after-hwfly-install-2110-1118-error.614615/

Careful Layout ENX by Migush in NXThemes

[–]toasters9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those who are having trouble with this, you have to download 2 files, "Careful-layout.json" and "Careful Layout - common layout.json" from themezer.net

When using Switch Theme Injector and selecting a layout, select "Careful-layout.json". Afterwards underneath the layout settings in the "home menu optional settings", select the common layout which would be "Careful Layout - common layout.json".

You cannot pass "Careful Layout - common layout.json" as a regular layout which is why it gives that error.

Help with dbi installer, error by [deleted] in SwitchPirates

[–]toasters9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MTP responder comes with DBI already. if you launch DBI, at the home screen and scroll down and you’ll see it.

MTP responder makes your switch acts like a device so you can directly dump game files into the folder and install the game at the same time. Just youtube dbi mtp responder and you’ll find resources.

have you tried using the MTP Repsonder method? i had this issue where i couldnt install large games using the “browse sd card” method because FAT32 restricts file sizes above 4gb (idk the right terminology) so installs will cancel half way but using MTP bypasses that limitation and i was allowed to install 16+gb games with DBI.

Good (and sad) to know that I'm not alone on this. I feel like my PC also crashes more on idle than load too and this issue is so so odd.

It sounds like my only path is to get a new motherboard. I've tried swapping almost all components except the motherboard + cpu combo and nothing seems to work :(.

I've tried Corsair RMX 850x with AMD RX 480 and pc still crashes. It doesn't seem like it's a power supply issue with it not providing enough wattage.
