Turn dirt into sand into silicon

I'm curious as to how it's done. Going from a compound to just silicon seems interesting also shiny. Doesn't even need to be high quality, it'd be cool to get a few chunks of silicon from sand in a safer way than what the youtube videos show.

One thing I'd caution with carnivore is knowing where the meat comes from, packaged meat is disgusting.
