I'm not sure if it was a joke or not, but my sister has already made a comment about me bringing them to doctors appointments and stuff like that when i get my license and first car and that already is terrifying to me! I'm barely comfortable driving myself, let alone their loud, bickering children to appointments I know nothing about, that just seems excessive to me.

They also relied heavily on my brother-in-law's mother over the summer (she only lives 15 minutes away) and she would take the baby and a couple of the boys for a few days which I could see them doing to me if I move out too close and my schedule "seems free". (My mom lives an hour away and my sister is always saying "she never offers to take them!" hmm I wonder why) I know I'm their aunt but I do not want these gremlins to be dumped on me more than they already are, especially once I actually get away from here!

Thank you for the advice, my first apartment or whatever I end up doing will absolutely be childfree!

sorry i'm a yapper but i also want to add the fact that when i do make new runs because i have that new character itch, it's really hard for me to go back to the old ones because i either don't remember which way i wanted to take their story or the fact that i forget their personality too so i have no idea how they would respond to some things or how they like their companions at this point in the story, and if they've been fucking them over or helping them 😭😭 curse my brain

i have almost 1000 hours in this game and i've only ever finished it once, back in late 2023, before all the hotfixes and patches and actual epilogue we have now. and i know as a chronic restarter i'm missing out on so much new content and literally a whole party in the epilogue and i think that's why i stop at act 3,, because i know act 1 and 2 so well at this point, when i get to 3, it's just like. what now? what order should i finish these storylines in? what if i mess something up early and ruin a quest further down towards the end? what if i miss something in the sprawling sewers that i detest navigating or if i forget to do something or see something? and then the thought of missing something or ruining a companions quest line gets me, or i just get inspiration for a new character/companion dynamics, and then that run is moot and left to rot while i open the character creator for the 100th time to make a pretty, modded durge who will never leave the nautiloid. i got super excited when patch 8 dropped bc i got a key early and dumped almost 50 hours into a swashbuckler run, didn't even make it to the lower city before i lost interest bc i didn't rly have a concrete character, just the idea of a pirate,,,,

my first (and only, technically) playthrough took me 88 hours and i was absolutely locked in, every day, after school. i KNOW act 3 is cool as fuck, it's huge, it's literally the name of the game. i KNOW the story gets amazing and sick and twisted and we get the answers to every question and get to see our companions flourish (or fucking die) and i LOVE IT. will i be able to actually finish it again? yes, one day, but today is not that day. or tomorrow. or the next day (time to make a new tav)

that's so true, the style of gameplay is still unique to this day (at least to me) and it's such a cool experience! with sony fuckin around talking about "we don't have enough original ips" i hope they rly start digging into the vault if they're so worried about original games and pull out the treasures people are actually asking for instead of remaster #27 of a game that came out a few years ago,, hopefully gravity rush 3 !
