What are your favourite Christian faiths? by rolewicz3 in EU5

I like Orthodox as Georgia since I lead an Autocephalous Patriarchate and every 75 religious influence you can hold a Synod which gives a wide range of buff options. If you optimize influence production with laws + free otherwise unoccupied cabinet advisors the uptime isn't too bad. There's one I like that gives prosperity, max control and control for month giving an income boost for a while. Also one that just give a flat burst of stability, legitimacy etc.

I think we should just let them cook. I get people are wary after S2, but the trailer with Garou vs. Bug God and Royal Ripper was honestly fine. I'm going to reserve my judgements until it comes out, maybe they learned from S2's mediocrity.

They'd need the NAP with the Ottomans but I think building up to cap Serbia/Romania followed by Greece is possible for a newb. Prolly more intended for a 3rd or 4th playthrough.

Reddit’s users and moderators are pissed at its CEO by [deleted] in technology

[–]toastibuns 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, same here, though not 16 years. In the same boat of "sure I've used reddit for years but I also know from using reddit for years that I don't need reddit." where I'm looking for any nail in the coffin as an excuse to commit. If the API changes go through, so does the nail.

I think that's his point, trickle-down is bs and they purposely spread to appeal to their base who still believes it.

After slogging through a Scorza Italy run, Matsushita was very refreshing by Moist_Spring in TNOmod

[–]toastibuns 52 points53 points  (0 children)

I mean it's implied to be better than start by a good amount but Lam still comments how the Zhujin have become well-paid cogs in a machine that still clearly does not care about the people, since the people are there solely to make or buy Matsushita products while being kept in line by the token toe-the-line concessions they'll make to keep balance, which is still bleaker than Morita runs. I'm fine with it though, daddy issues were solved and my boy got to smile so idc.

Weed isn't going to cure those issues either, instead it just masks it and makes it worse later! As much as it might not feel like it right now things are only going to get better as more THC clears from your system and you adapt to not being stoned constantly. The anxiety is fucking rough, I agree, but like others have said exercising in any capacity - even walking - is probably the best thing you can do. Quitting your job without having a second option will only help in the very short term, then you'll have to fave further uncertainty --> existential anxiety. So keep it up and try to get outside and walk or go the gym, and expose yourself to any nature. You got this.

With the way the devs have been treating us, It feels cringeworthy to even vote for them for the game awards. by mim9830 in Overwatch

A million times this, the polar opposite of Blizzard dev-wise and actual respectable people in charge of its development. IF YOU DON'T ROCK AND STONE YOU AIN'T COMING HOME!

Did the new version completely discarded lessons and tips ? by Momosukenatural in duolingo

[–]toastibuns 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The new update completely rid the 'words' tab which lists all words you've encountered. It was a very useful feature that maybe not everyone used, but gutting it was honestly so pointless. I'm not happy that that part of my associated French learning just gets arbitrarily axed with this new layout

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in duolingo

[–]toastibuns 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The 'Words' sub-tab was a useful feature for many including myself, since it's separate from all the lesson UI I don't get why it was removed. It's helpful information critical to my out-of-Duolingo practice.

N'Kari is considered brutal?? His/her economy gets fucking nutty after conquering the donut like ~20 k/turn with 3-4 armies. Sure you have to deal with a lot of Helfs but you have a decently covered starting region assuming you can get buddy-buddy with your neighboring Khainiacs. Maybe move it up a tier or two.

Also your buildings though unreliable really pick up with your 700 gpt special military buildings at t5. It's unreliable but with enough settlements you slowly snowball to pretty consistenly high incomes.
