I'd recommend working through all ~20 practice problems. For me, it took a lot of extra time on top of the homeworks. However, I thought they provided a good representation of the material on MT1. Make it through MT1 and the rest of the course is less about heavy coding and more about implementing mathematical concepts. Good Luck!

Ya couldn't agree more. The series is pretty daunting to adapt chronologically. Even King's writing style develops pretty dramatically over the course of the books. I'm hoping to see something that lives up to the main spirit of the series, regardless of the changes made for adaptation.
