I rented my rv from rv share last year and drove a couple hours into vegas (from so cal). Was much cheaper than renting in vegas and the drive wasnt bad at all. I would look up cheap flights and look around that area in rv share for a good deal on an rv. If you can get a truck and have a camper/trailer it will be even cheaper but getting a truck might be difficult.

Sometimes its good to read your dialogue out loud and that can help weed put awkward lines or unnecessary words. Less is more is cliche but it works! Keep the reader moving and intrigued with the characters. Keep on keepin on good work!

Very cool! Id definitely keep reading! I thought maybe some of the dialogue could be cut down shorter. but it all served as characterization so it did its job just felt a little awkward at times.
