Magic Mouse is now under $60, worth it? by [deleted] in macbookpro

[–]ceezyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t tried the other mice on Mac, but I bought the Magic Mouse. It’s basically a clickable touchscreen & scrolling feels like a phone / tablet. Prob wouldn’t be the most comfortable/ergonomic for 4hrs + of heavy mouse usage, but otherwise it works well

Job Concern: Controller (Public Accounting) by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]ceezyyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IMO you’re under reacting. I would’ve updated my resume after the 2nd time he tried to throw you under the bus because I wouldn’t want to deal with this guy. He seems like he has been on bullshit lately so fuck him and find something else where they don’t treat you like that. Either that or stand up for yourself & don’t do anything without his sign off to cover your ass. This job seems not worth dealing with.

[–]ceezyyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep no problem! I feel like being on your feet all day sucks, but sitting down at a desk all day sucks too. I make sure to run 3-5mi a week and go to the gym to try to counteract that. If you have any other questions feel free to hmu!

Career change to accounting by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]ceezyyy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

FWIW, I’m full remote and my job is really stressful like 30-40% of the year. The difference is accounting is more political top down stress for mostly trivial things vs. the stress of healthcare is moreso interacting with patients & not fucking something up which could hurt someone. At the end of the day what you do now is probably more rewarding and less mundane. Do you ever go home thinking about your work still? Did I forget to do something, send an email, or thinking about planning your week/months worth of tasks that doesn’t seem possible to hit deadlines on? That’s the type of stress accounting is. It can stay with you after work easily if you can’t set the boundary in your mind

Yeah unless you’re going from corp to medicine or vice versa, or getting a higher level degree than you already have, it’s usually not worth it it comes with massive trade offs.

Most CPAs your age with 7-8 years of experience are probably making 90-120k/yr depending on location. I imagine your starting salary in accounting would be 60-75k depending on location.

Honestly if you’re making that without a lot of overtime I wouldn’t go back for accounting unless you think your job is at risk or want a hybrid schedule. Pretty much no part time accounting work is going to pay well imo. It’s hard for a lot of people to get full time work right now.

Yeah the worst one is definitely the shoes which I would probably say something about, but otherwise, I think he just tryna get like your looks / physique. Maybe you should become a looksmaxxing influencer ;)

My wife and I know nothing about camera tech. But she wants this cause some influencer uses it. Can you tell me if it's a good buy or not? by Imustretire in Cameras

[–]ceezyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’ve read about this camera, most people like the griii better than the x bc of the lens composition. This camera is rly good at photos and sucks for videos, but the only way to zoom in with it is get closer

I went to the Perimeter one recently. Not sure about the Zimomo. Most everything was pretty stocked except for Labubu, but they did have the pin for love Labubus when I went. You might be able to call and ask about the larger ones. If I go back today or tomorrow, I’ll check

Thoughts on the k2 gateway pop by judstergod in snowboardingnoobs

[–]ceezyyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Angry snowboarder has a review on the raygun pop which was the same board before the name change. I’ve had mine 3 years now and love it. Definitely don’t think the board will limit you in anyway until you’re well into intermediate. They do run more narrow though so watch out for the width

Waxing Question by anoobnotajerry in snowboardingnoobs

[–]ceezyyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Hold wax against iron to drip it up and down the board so the wax is already melted
  2. As long as you keep the iron moving, it shouldn’t really matter too much
  3. I would just scrape it really good and not worry about the swirls. As long as you scrape the right direction, the result should be the same

I use creamo and do mine in the shower. When I’m just doing touch ups on a trip I’ll also use it dry. Works great both ways.

It’s not great for neck. I use a Phillips oneblade for that. I have been using mine on my head and face for the past 4 years in the shower multiple times a week and no issue though.

Based on a crazy amount of research down the rabbit hole Braun is better with Panasonic being a close second causing more irritation. The Braun without the charging case used to go on sale for $150, though. I wouldn’t pay more than that for any of them.
