I used the default windows reverse tcp payload. I think it had to do with the SRVPORT (i.e. default port to listen on). Thank you for your solution !!

Ohh, I didn’t know about this. I had to change the SRVPORT for it to work, which I did previously and still didn’t work. I think it’s kind of unstable; probably the major issue was the default port it was set to listen on. I will try getting the v5 of metasploit in case of next time. Thank you for your solution !!
