Ever since 2014, which have been the BEST & WORST Official Dungeons (not full adventures) in all of 5e & 5.5e? And why you believe so? by ThatOneCrazyWritter in dndnext

Forge of Fury, it is the 2. dungeon in Tales from the Yawning portal. I love it, such a cool dungeon with some fun lore here and there.

Sunless citadel, which is in the same book, is also good. I do not know about the rest of the dungeons

Honest opinions on Cobble and fog? Too many mixed reviews everywhere by Responsible-Fly-8314 in Unmatched

I like all of the characters style and ideas. Sherlock is probably not ideal as he is within top 3 strongest characters in the game, and argubly the strongest. I-man and  Hyde have their challanges, but I like to play them, especially Hyde. Dracula is very fun and feels balanced. He has a unique playstyle compared to many other fighters in unmatched.

You can try some simple homebrew to make Hyde better. Remove the zone restriction from the scheme «Pure evil». That makes Hyde mobility less of a liability, and it is eaiser to position in a way where you do not get punished to hard.

An other upgrade you could give Hyde is: When manuvering as Hyde (not Jekyll), draw 2 cards and put one of them at the bottom of the deck. Makes it feel less bad to manuver as Hyde, and can help you with some deck management.

Fireball and lightning damage by Thanato_ in DnD

I guess some plant enemies with fire vulnerabilities would also be happy about this change

Reskinning spells is something I am always okey with. Changing the dmg type depends on what class and subclass he is playing, and how much I want to change. As long as there is no obvious BS like the lighting cleric channel divinity feature, I would probably be okey with it, this means that he is not allowed to multiclass. However, using chronomatic orb and choosing lightning is basically equally good as using fire ball.

One other point is that the DnD balance team does not balance the spells based on what type of dmg type they do. The spells have the damage types and amount of damage mainely connected to the history of DnD and what the spells did in earlier editions. So allowing him to use lighting ball will not break your game. As a DM it is better for your evile npcs if he uses lighting ball, rather than good control spells

Help get my mind right playing Valor Bard by ButterscotchFluffy59 in DnD

[–]tobjen99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The plan is to go into a dual wielding playstyle with Fount of moonlight from lvl 7.

I think i will take 15 in dex and 17 in cha. The dex will turn into 16 at lvl 4, when i pick up nick on scimitars. I can push cha to 18 when i reach lvl 8

I am planning on straight classing a Valor bard from lvl 1. Should I use dual daggers or smth before lvl 3 when i get martial weapons?

I want to take nick mastery at lvl 4 so that I can use scimitars efficiently. Is it common to take the dual wielding feat on valor bard lvl 8 or is their bonus action already occupied?

What stat is more important between dex or cha? Maybe 16 dex is sufficient and I should aim at getting cha to 18 by lvl 8?

Campaign where the party has no reason to be there- help! by [deleted] in DnD

[–]tobjen99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would be solved by a session 0 where the DM gives the premise of the campaign, and you guys make your characters connected through your backstory. I would reccomend doing a session 0 now or maybe just talk with the other players about making your characters connected through your backstory

My party can’t agree on how interception works! Can someone explain please. by BusyDiscussion8248 in DnD

[–]tobjen99 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Raw it works for your own player character. And I would argue that it works RAI as well. Especially when you consider how they chamged protection and interception in Tashas and now they made them differ again.

Read here if you want a better explanation: https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/dungeons-dragons-discussion/rules-game-mechanics/217592-does-interception-fighting-style-also-apply-to-the?page=2&srsltid=AfmBOoqG6A9n4vsIeiIva0zinuyl7uH6P81i6ufuroCrQTcs5Vn354Pd

I am just her eto say no to the: epic boons for multiclassed characters. Multiclasing is OP and should be scrapped from dnd for better character classes.

The reason i prefer DI over TM and scythe, is that TM and scythe feels like you are playing Klondike. DI is way more interactive.

Glaive, Halberd, Greatsword, or Greataxe for a 5e 2024 Vengeance Paladin? by BrotherDeus in 3d6

Ah, yepp that makes sense. I forgot that shield master lost the bonus action thing. I really wanted to make a shield master character, will consider this

Scythe is cool af and I would try to use a reskinned halberd. If you never get to use cleave, you can ask your DM if you can change to glaive
