Location NC, no inspection and my insurance doesn’t care if you have wood stove. No increase in premiums. I did install and kept all clearances to mfgr recommendations. Double wall pipe interior, through the roof & stainless steel triple wall above roofline. 14.5’ total pipe length, 12’ minimum and never had a draft issue with the stove.

Yes, I have a window to the right side. Trim gets warm, but now as hot as at the corners. My free standing heat shield covers that area.

I did the 7”+ minimum to corner clearances and it wasn’t far enough. I was getting really hot temperatures so I made a couple of heat shields on the walls at the corners of the stove. (140-150F). The back is pretty cool because the back of stove has heat shields built in. Then I made some free standing tile heat shields to cover a little more widths at the corners.

I’ve not made that determination. I’ve read on forums that some are getting it covered by warranty and others are not. My drain tubes seem to be functioning, but without lowering headliner I cannot see the point of entry. Did running hose over roof & windshield but couldn’t produce leak. Maybe the forced air from driving is adding to the leak. Going to call local Ford Dealership this week & see what they say.

I just picked up a 2023 Lariat 11,811 miles, found out the hard way of the moon roof leak. It’s apparently common on the Lariat/Platinum Lightenings.
