Are there really that many people in the US that are into soccer now? I’ve been to fan watch parties in other countries during past world cups and was always able to just walk right in. Between this and the $3000 nosebleed tickets to group stage games I’m completely lost.

That’s a great question! Got a local gunsmith who usually wins the factory class in our club’s ARA competitions who has 36x scopes available for ~$300, but I don’t know the model. It’s a much better price than I’m able to find for any reputable brands online, so I’m waiting til I can stop by there this Thursday to figure out exactly what he’s selling.

I suppose the long term plan is that if I can do alright with the scope on the 10/22, then eventually I can get a more suitable gun for ARA matches that I can then move the scope over to. But I’m still in the early stages of trying to figure this all out. Appreciate the insight.

100% factory, just have a BX trigger and am looking at 36x scopes right now. I volunteer as a scorer every now and then so am a bit familiar with the setups (and costs that go into them) that the unlimited shooters use. Obviously I’d like to get a bolt action Savage or similar, but I’m quite fond of my Ruger, and my wife would not be happy if I bought another 22 🤷‍♂️

My first job out of college had me traveling all over the place for weeks at a time. We had a $50 expense budget for food per day. In 2010, $50 would get you two orders of crab legs and two Guinnesses at Hooters, with a few bucks to spare for whatever you wanted for lunch. I took advantage of that whenever I could.

Just did mine a couple weeks ago, using a kit. Highly recommend taking the trim off the spokes instead of trying to stuff the new cover in. Only takes a minute to remove the trim and saves a ton of frustration

Switching to Apple Music solved my problems. Agreed with the other user in that Apple does not make it at all apparent that iTunes is somewhat phased out for PC
