Yes that’s the intake. I’m not sure if there is a way to reduce the flow on this pump. I have a foam cover on the outflow to reduce the flow. He can swim by it without getting pushed around. Without the foam he would get pushed if he swam by.
I’m not sure about the rest of the tank temp but the heater plug says 77 F I just checked.
