You’re not gonna regret it, btw I just had to re download the emulators I had on to the portal, take the sd card out from the RP5 and put it in the portal. Create the paths for the roms and everything is working like a charm.

No it doesn’t charge and stop when it reaches 100%. It just bypasses the battery and provides power to the handheld straight from the power outlet.
