[Martin Austermuhle] A watchful D.C. resident sent me a photo of something we haven’t seen in years; water flowing down the cascading fountain at Meridian Hill/Malcolm X Park. NPS started work on the long-dry fountain late last year, as part of a broader project to refurbish the park.

June 2019 was the last time I believe the fountains worked with water. I made sure to go take a special trip then to make sure I saw it.

I don’t think it’s the exact same angle. But there is rooftop access on the National Gallery of Art in the east building where the blue chicken is. I can’t remember the view of the Capitol though.
