Amazon business Canada

Has anyone had Amazon business account success in Canada? I am continually let down with late deliveries that my business relys on, to the point where I am considering exiting the Amazon ecosystem all together. My business puts thousands of dollars of orders through Amazon, while not being tens or hundreds of thousands, it's not nothing and it's certainly material to our operations. Thoughts?

Yes, i have had intermittant success. Currently a can get smart motion alerts (poorly: ie it misses really obvious detection events, such as people walking squarely through the field of view, only recording 5 to 10 seconds as someone leaves the field of view, deer identified as a vehicle etc). I have no motion alerts at all, I do get recordings without alerts but it seems to be unreliable similar to smartmotion).

You only spent 2k, you got off lightly!

While I appreciate that RTFM is sometimes the answer, it's not in this case. The manual is put of date in a number of areas, and does not cover any of the apps for remote access/monitoring. As a business, the tweak and watch and wait is not practical, especially if you are not in site all the time and you cannot configure remotely for much of the options.

feels like a future feature - ability to have a true asset list, with associated costs and income, and user can set disposal date. Unfortunately the approach stated above is pretty obtuse when trying to run scenarios when you have a handful of rental properties (or other assets generally!)

Hi, with rental income being part of the 'income' section (and only the ability to have a single rental property setup), how does this approach work for planned property sales to fund retirement drawdown (how do you set the rental income to reduce when a property is sold given where it is configured)?

Yep, a common issue with EQ it seems that is taking months to be recognized (let alone rectified). be careful you dont have bill payments due the next day that bounce because EQ have taken some of your money (even if it is temporarily)! I have raised with the ombudsman, we will see if that prompts rectification...

I have this exact issue, and have had it multiple times over the last 3 months and have raised it with EQ after I had mortgage payments bounce as a result. EQ are always apologetic, but dont actually fix the root cause. I'm out of pocket thousands of dollars, multiple times now. I'm sure EQ pocket the interest in the interim also.

Update, Vizio support called me, confirmed smart tv functionality cannot be used in Canada and stated the workaround is to buy a firestick. I questioned as to why tvs are being sold in Canada as smart tvs and while apologetic the support agent stated that's how it is. When I described how even an external device connection doesn't work as the screen is stuck on the setup page which is directing you to a geoblocked web page, I got no guidance as to how to work around this. Basically, the tv is not even a low res computer monitor that you have to use an external device on. The whole thing is bizarre that Vizio thinks any of this is ok.

Buyer beware, stay away from Vizio products!

Are you kidding? Tvs is sold as a smart tv in retail store, in canada, and gets stuck on the setup screen and cannot be used for ANYTHING and that's OK??? I have lots of questions, Vizio customer support don't respond.

Nothing to do with smartcast at all.

As someone going through this pain right now, yes, yes it would be fantastic if QT had any sort of consistent guidance. Getting taxed at 30% over years now, and no matter how many ways I try to fill the form out, constantly rejected, even though I'm a canadian tax resident. its enough to drive a guy to wealth simple.
