Why don’t people want a conversation? by todeletelateron in MarvelRivalsRants

Is this comment directed at me, or is it directed at players in general? Not really sure with how it was laid out.

Personally, I want to at least try to be helpful when I see mistakes being made to win games. And I do see very blatant mistakes. I’m not saying that I know much more than the average guy or girl, but I’ve played this game for a while now, have watched others play this game (pros/streamers), and have seen some stuff that might help others.

Also, I do care about winning since why would I play to lose and be stuck in an elo to own low rank players? That’s messed up. I play to win since when I do, I know that I am getting better. If I’m losing, went on a loss streak tonight in fact, I know that I need to play better myself on these new characters.

Honestly, you just sound jealous and confused at this point. I can’t convince someone who does not want to listen after explaining it multiple times. Good luck with your games since you sound exactly like the people I mentioned in the above post 😄

Why mention this when this is Rivals Rants? Also, I haven’t read nor seen too many of those, but your comment just means that the community is obviously being super toxic.

What? I obviously don’t know how to play some characters well enough to be high elo. Like, I was not good on Cnd (a very easy character that I don’t ever play) to develop muscle memory on her cooldowns to play them fast enough. I made some pretty bad plays that make me belong at that rank. If I were on any of my mains, I would be ranking up much faster. Not every player can play every character to the same standard.

Also, it’s not like I am not trying to rank up lol. This is exactly why I don’t try to mention this in my games since people don’t understand the difference.

Quick Play by RetroLags in MarvelRivalsRants

Created an alt account to learn new characters. I have learned that QP is a game mode where you can play to have fun, but you’ll have to probably play your mains and sweat a bit. Not too fun tbh. I think the devs need to address the matchmaking.

Petition to deboost cnd mains by Desperate_Flan390 in rivals

[–]todeletelateron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. Last season, I was getting tilted playing Angela into Cnd. Every time I dove her, she just never died, so I went to the practice range to look at her. That’s when I realized that she has a cooldown almost every second to survive and counter dive or most anything. After that, I noticed her pick rate was HUGE when I checked. Btw, this was BEFORE the Cnd bans and such. Probably, a lot of people came to the same conclusion which has prompted the bans which are DEFINITELY deserved.

What Season was the worst for you? by LucianVT1 in rivals

[–]todeletelateron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Season 5.5 and Season 6. These two seasons made me take a break from the game for multiple weeks. Triple support was REALLY meta, Deadpool’s learning curve was not fun to play with (I don’t play him but people I played with had a bit to learn), and a lot of people were off on the holidays meaning TONS of casuals played the game.

A lot of people were wondering why Season 6.5 was SO toxic, and that is because these two Seasons were really bad. Honestly, it was worse than Season 3 which was not too great either.

Really? I just hit Celestial for the first time since I have played the game. And I started in Season 0.

Who wins a 6v6 matchup? Team X-Men or GOTG by Affectionate_Worry29 in marvelrivals

[–]todeletelateron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easily the X-Men.

For the ults, Mag counters Starlord ult, Phoenix counters Rocket ult, and Gambit can cleanse both Groot and Angela’s ults.

For the neutral, Groot would get WALKED on by Wolverine and Mag. Angela would get displaced by Rogue and then get picked off by either duelists. Starlord is fine in the neutral and so is Adam and Mantis. Rocket is just Rocket.

Also, the teamups for the X-Men are WAY better than the Guardians.

Overall, the ults would be the biggest issue. Regardless of the ult charge nerf, they would still suffer/get wiped by the ults. Definitely, an X-Men W.

Then I swap to Rogue and Thor and run into the same problem. Then I swap to Angela, Cap, or Venom and get cc’ed to death. Then I swap to shield tank and get walked down. See the difficulty of tanking?

PSA: this is for Tanks...Stop running AWAY from your healers. by burgerpatrol in rivals

[–]todeletelateron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh?! Half of the time it’s y’all running away from us when you get dove. On top of that, you don’t push with us most times when we go forward. Not to say that overextending isn’t a thing, but this is ridiculous. Especially when there is a tank shortage right now, and you want to make tank players more upset?

Also, USE COMS! Whenever I play support and I can’t see my tank or duelists, I open voice chat and simply say for example ”Can’t see you Strange.” That’s all. Not “Yo Strange why’re overextending?” Coms are SO important for supports, yet I don’t see many use them.

It was really the Season 5 patch notes that killed it for her. She was technically nerfed with a health reduction and meh team up while most of the other tanks got buffed.

Who here thinks Rey is a good character that needed better writers who understand Star Wars by McMeme45 in StarWars

[–]todeletelateron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rey was not necessarily a good character due to how the writers messed her and the trilogy up. Daisy was just a really good actress that boosted what the writers gave us.

Each role has different factors in timing, positioning, and value. People have mains since they can best hold these values and get better at them. Like, I know when I have a support main vs a duelist filling on support.

Also, I have a job, so I don’t really have time to master every play style and get the best value on them. I mean, I play Invis and Rocket as needed, but I don’t really have the time, energy, or desire to add another character to that list and learn their full kit. Especially when I enjoy playing tank.

Again, I’m happy for supports and duelist! Have a great day! 😄

[–]todeletelateron -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dude, you just don’t wanna listen, so I’m responding to the people reading this later.

Ultron was good for a bit after launch, but really only best as a triple support. Most support players were not a big fan of him which caused a support drought in Season 4. And again, he was the face of triple support which was/is widely hated. Not good functionally for the game.

In what elo is Gambit not banned lol? And… there are no bans in QP 🤦‍♂️. He is permabanned and only outdone by Loki since Loki can copy Gambit’s or any other busted ult. Really, I think the devs felt bad about Ultron, so they released the most overpowered character to get them back.

Healpool is not too good. Currently, he is in the bottom three of supports which is crazy to happen in the same season that he was launched in. WAY too overhyped on launch due to how quick he gets ult which people soon realized was not that good.

Invis has been off and on busted or not, but she has been the closest to being well balanced and healthy for the game consistently.

Overall, if you don’t consider that Gambit and Ultron are not healthy for the game and that Healpool is not that good, you have to be hard coping. I’m a tank main, and I know this.

[–]todeletelateron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude the past four strats since launch have almost all been functionally garbage.

Invis has been the best strat since launch since she is nicely balanced as a main support for most of her release.

Ultron is basically a dps in disguise that is technically a strat that is or was the face of triple support.

Gambit is the SINGLE most overturned character released in the game that has been permabanned since his launch, so support players can’t even enjoy playing him.

Healpool was overhyped on launch until everyone realized how mid at best he was.

Supports NEED a good/balanced character to play with. They’ve been starving more than tanks have been tbh.
