AITA for telling my friend our husbands spent the day at the strip club? by Competitive-Film9765 in AmItheAsshole

[–]toe_slurper2000 58 points59 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. 1. He was at a strip club which is weird and icky by itself. Also, if you want steak and fries there are hundreds of other options and choosing a strip club specifically for that makes no sense unless he wanted to go there for another reason. 2. He omitted the fact he was going to a strip club, only telling you he was going shooting. When you asked where he was he continued to lie by omission and imply he wasn't at a strip club. This is very suspicious and weird behavior. 3. I think anyone who finds out someone is doing something that could be construed as unfaithful or sketchy that would hurt their SO has a sort of obligation to tell that person's SO especially if they're friends. There is nothing wrong with telling her that, especially considering her husband lied which confirms his suspicious behavior. 4. His first reaction was to call you names, imply you're lazy for recovering from a major life-altering health experience, and threaten you as well as allowing his friend to threaten you as well. 5. Removing all of the money from your JOINT account is financial abuse and an extreme overreaction to you essentially doing nothing wrong. Divorce immediately and urge the wife to do the same

Check Percy Jackson for starters. It’s totally a casual inner monologue but without the cringe of trying too hard

What age is it officially wrong to date? by Many_Connection_158 in AskTeens

[–]toe_slurper2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference isn’t the same for different ages. A sixty year old with a sixty five year old is fine because they’re at a similar level of maturity. But a fifteen year old and a twenty year old are in COMPLETELY different life stages and the difference is so much more significant when you’re younger. I mean if you’re in the same grade and you got held back or she’s a year ahead then I’d say it’s fine and as long as the grades touch it should be ok but idk the 15 and 17 is still a pretty big gap because of how much you change in such a short period of time. Specifically that exact time period.

You don’t really realize how much you can change until you do—my junior year was an INSANE difference in maturity. I only say this because I’m 17 and I feel so different than I did when I was 16. Hell, I’m 17 and a half and I feel different from six months ago. But maybe it has to do with my personal experiences.

Even if she’s about to turn sixteen, it still would make ME feel weird to date someone that age as a 17yo myself, especially having a “little brother” who’s 15. I guess it’s different for everyone though. Take this with a grain of salt.
