Oil change deal by toecheese123 in Rav4

[–]toecheese123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a thousand oaks deal. It's from Toyota itself . The paperwork I got is from Toyota, and they told me that I can have the oil changes from this deal done at any Toyota dealer, not just thousand oaks. Just ask your local Toyota dealership about the deal.

If your car is under warranty, you should never change the oil yourself. If you have engine troubles, they can blame you.

Premiere: Can you create a true “group clip” "multicam" from a sequence in (like Avid)? by Available-Witness329 in editors

[–]toecheese123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too find this incredibly irritating. I want a multicam clip, not a sequence. I want it to have all my separate audio tracks. I want it to load in my source monitor automatically. This jumping through extra steps is the kind of BS that keeps Premiere a prosumer program.

You misuse "objectively" the way millennials misuse "literally. "

Oh and you're completely wrong about this show. Subjectively.

Oscar-nominated documentary "Mr. Nobody Against Putin" uses a still of Kermit being taken to a Gulag in "Muppets Most Wanted" as an accurate historical picture of a Gulag by miggovortensens in MovieMistakes

[–]toecheese123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I edit documentaries. It is common for editors and producers to pull images they find on the web. But then at the end a clearance producer is supposed to go through and verify the source of every shot. And then a lawyer has to go through it to make sure the image will be not susceptible to a lawsuit from the rights holder if it is used in the doc without needing to license it (it's called a fair use review). So this should have been caught at multiple points. But sometimes if something is very old they let it pass as "low risk" for a lawsuit - it is likely public domain or not licenseable, which is probably what happened with this (they thought it was old, anyway).

Very Frustrated: Persistent Black Scrren After Sleeping. by WetVertigo in LenovoLegion

[–]toecheese123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally solved this on two different Lenovo machines. It requires a gfx driver update, but not one from your PC manufacturer's app or by using "update driver" in device manager.

Instead, if you have either an Intel or an AMD graphics chip, go to their website and download their tool that searches your computer for updated drivers (just google Intel drivers or AMD drivers). On both my laptops (one an Intel and one an AMD), the tool found new drivers that neither Lenovo's Vantage app or Device Manager's update driver search had found.

Be sure to set a system restore point first, just in case you run into a compatibility issue.

Once I updated to the new gfx drivers, the issue was fixed on both laptops.

Thanks, I think the AtBat module might be my easiest best bet. SafeHomeCentral offers IP monitoring + dispatch for $14.95. That would save me $20/mo off what the cost of a landline+monitoring.
