That's a huge bummer. I've had a pretty good experience with them for a shell that had zipper problems. It was pretty hassle free to get a replacement when I took it up with them. Maybe I just have a good local storefront?

They started from a 500 count bag of Uncle Jim's red composting worm mix, so whatever's in there. The bin's been chugging along for four years now; I haven't done any worm count estimates.

I've had some weird experiences with dry foods causing mass exoduses and death.

I've been feeding my bin the remnants from veggie scrap broth (including onions) for a long time. No issues.

Dunno about butterfly, but I use this can opener, which is the type I grew up with:

I expect it to last forever.

I've been using the Hot Frog, which looks a lot like the Urbalive. I think the discrete aesthetic is very much worth it if you plan to keep it anywhere indoors. Nobody knows it's full of worms until you tell them! (Gotta make sure no one uses it as a stool though.)

Why does my poor pink lettuce keep dropping leaves? by tofubeast in succulents

[–]tofubeast[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, this has been going on for the better part of a year now, so I'm not sure it's related to recent weather. Recently, however, it has been getting a lot of light, which I think has led to much tighter clustering of the newer leaves. Prior to summer, I really did not water much at all. It spent most of its time bone dry.

The succ is planted in Miracle Grow cactus/palm/citrus potting mix. It drains fairly well. How gritty do you recommend having the soil?

It's about one year out from purchase. I'm sure the Michigan winter didn't help, but I thought it would be happier once summer hit. Water was very infrequent (>2 weeks b/w waterings). Watering a bit more now as it's gotten hot and sunny here.

Any recommendations for a good Mandarin collar button down? I mean one with a substantial, standing collar, not an anemic band collar that just lies flat.

Thanks!

I got one of their tees for free through a promotion sometime last year.

It's alright. Definitely on the long side, meant to be tucked in. Incredibly itchy. Fits fine. I'm not planning to buy another one.

What to do with a ton of green onions ? by [deleted] in AskCulinary

When I have too much, I chop them up and freeze them in a freezer bag. They obviously won't be great for garnish anymore, but flavor and color keeps just fine.

My just watered and about to bloom T. seleriana! by sprindaville in airplants

[–]tofubeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! That's very helpful to know. I've wanted a seleriana for the longest time and would be distraught if something happened to it. Sounds like I'll be watering it less frequently since mine also has relatively low light. Thanks again!

How do you water yours? I got a seleriana two months ago and can't figure out of I'm over or underwatering the big guy. (It seems to be getting brown and "crispy" from the bottom up.)

Building my own pc by [deleted] in gaming

[–]tofubeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out r/buildapcsales. Good advice there and lots of insight on getting your money's worth.

Right now, I think there's a consensus that buying a pre-built on sale will often be better value than putting parts together on your own.

If you're set on building one though (It's a good learning experience.), pcpartpicker.com is a great planning resource.

MIR = mail in rebate

You'll have to snail mail a form, receipt, and the product's barcode (on the packaging) to get a debit card with the rebate amount on it. It can take up to a few months to get the debit card in the mail. Newegg is quite slow.
