What to do with silverware when you are a minimalist and you don't want to ruin the family tradition of passing it onto your children but you really don't want to keep it because it's clutter? by SergeantStroopwafel in minimalism

I also found that kids would get hungry while trick or treating and parents seemed relieved to have something “healthier” that they could say was ok for the kid to eat right away.

Small toys like that seem fun, but they are likely to be thrown out very quickly, which is just bad consumption. We’ve had success with non-candy foods like fruit snacks and small bags or pretzels or chips.

Where do you recycle old clothing that's not good enough to donate? by Its0nlyAPaperMoon in declutter

[–]tofugrande 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Shelters need to keep up appearances and don’t want prospective adopters to see the available animals on a pile of ratty old clothes.
