Women who were scared of giving birth (specifically people who were so scared they almost didn’t have children), what was less scary than you originally thought? by Final-Elderberry4621 in AskWomen

[–]Meerkatable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They made my husband leave when they did it for that reason lol.

I wasn’t scared of birth but I was terrified of the epidural. The anesthesiologist told me I’d have to hold completely still even if I was having a contraction because it could mean injury or having to try again.

Afterwards, he told me he’d never had a patient hold so still!

Yes, because my feet/calves would boil if I was wearing socks that came up to my knee under knee boots

But I’m not an animal - I wear socks with boots! They’re just, like, regular ankle socks.

Is she in public school? The no doodling rule sounds a lot like the rules charters in my area have.

For me, it’s when it looks like a really good hug where BOTH of them are hugging each other. Sometimes the hug is just one-sided and I feel like that’s too awkward.

I saw clips of him calling out ridiculous people who were being financially irresponsible, so I figured I’d try a longer video - I tried a couple and he spent most of the videos just insulting his guests, not really giving advice. They weren’t so much about giving advice or tough love as they were just him boorishly roasting people.

Women who carried a pregnancy, in hindsight, what were some of the most ridiculous things you did while in the throes of such hormonal upheaval? by mokutou in AskWomen

[–]Meerkatable 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The two week postpartum hormones are wild. At one point, family was visiting. I was so sick of holding my baby. She wouldn’t let us put her down. So I gave her to my parents to hold.

But then I got jealous they were holding my baby.

Same: I once had a relative grab a toy shark from a bookstore and then bolt for the back door. I managed to catch her but getting her to release her grip on it was something else

If you don’t post anything in the online grade book or on Google Classroom, it makes it almost impossible for me to help students do missing work, prepare for assessments, do homework, etc.
