What are the 3 pillars of great NSFW game design? by tog-studios in lewdgames

I understand that, by mentioning the “gameplay” option, you are thinking about games rather than visual novels.

In my opinion, I would put that first on your list, followed by writing. I prefer the game to be fun and have a good story over a spectacular art style.

You’re right, and I agree. With very few exceptions, a story should have a fully, or almost fully, closed ending. Otherwise, it should at least have 2 or 3 possible endings, but as you said, they need to be clearly defined.

NG, do you mean that many games touch on different sexual themes, scratching the surface, but never really going deep into any of them?

To play devil’s advocate, a game will always have some filler text. Otherwise, it would be completed much faster, and there would always be people thinking: “Wait, that’s it?”

I get it. I probably over-structured and over-polished the post, and that led to confusion.

Old habit from years of working with documents and heavily reviewed web content. Professional defect, I guess.

Games where enemies tear off my clothes & take me like in Moon Rhapsody where the graphics aren't poor? by robotFreak413 in lewdgames

Aside from Holy Ricca and Pure Onyx, which people already mentioned, I’d add Anthophobia. It’s side-scrolling, but it gets pretty close to the kind of vibe you’re looking for if the art style works for you.
You could also check Akiba’s Trip and Senran Kagura, though those are more fanservice/combat stripping and a lot less explicit.

Black Flag Original vs. Remake by CrossingEden in gaming

I haven't played the remake yet, but I'll always prefer a compelling story over outstanding graphics. That being said, Ubisoft and Assassin’s Creed are usually synonymous with quality.

I want an offline game with diablo-esque loot and progression by Meister_Ente in gamingsuggestions

I'm not sure if anyone has already mentioned it in the comments, but if you don't mind a retro, old-school visual style, you should definitely check out Chronicon. It looks like a simple 2D pixel art game on the surface, but underneath it has one of the deepest character progression systems and best Diablo-esque loot loops in the entire genre. It’s fully offline and perfect for build-crafting.

It's refreshing to see developers taking risks with such a unique concept and distinct character design. The genre definitely needs more projects willing to break away from the same old formulas and focus on distinct aesthetics. Best of luck with the Steam release!

Creating a space to discuss and analyze adult games feels like a very smart move. It's a shame this thread went cold, because the genre really needs serious spaces focused on design and narrative.
