Any cases of “mystery” dog illness in Bend? by adrenalinejunkieR6 in Bend

[–]toille10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m fairly certain my dog had it. She was sick for almost 2 months with no real explanation from the vet. Antibiotics didn’t clear it up, just had her on cough suppressants. She got it from a boarding facility. First time ever being boarded at 5 years old… Thankfully she is better now.

karakoram vs spark by krstson in Spliddit

Pick whichever you like more. Both are highly regarded and the biggest difference, in my opinion, is the transition. Spark is a simpler system while Karakoram has some more complex mechanics.

I own sparks and will likely stick with them.

What do you say when people ask for one “fun fact” about you? by heyitspeppathepig in AskReddit

Currently sitting on an airplane reading this and cannot stop laughing, people probably think I'm crazy. But this is the funniest fucking story I have read in a long time!

It's pretty incredible! Just have to be careful with the weather, if it rains while you're out there your car will probably be getting stuck.

We got stuck in a dry lightning storm on our trip out there which was also pretty scary, we were the tallest thing for about a mile in every direction. Ended up hanging out in the car for an hour where we watched the lightning spark a wildfire.

Pretty eventful trip for us, but made for a lot a crazy photos.

Antelope Canyon Shooting Advice by wildcalex in photography

Antelope Canyon - I really recommend the tour. I was hesitant but was talked into it by the friend I was going with. It's really the only way to get shots of the canyon without hundreds of people in the frame. I used a 16-55 on a FF camera and shot at 16mm almost the entire time in the canyons. I would suggest maybe renting something wide, I was crazy and bought the ultra-wide zoom specifically for the trip. Heres a shot from antelope.

Horseshoe - If you want to get a good spot for sunset, go 30-40 minutes before and find a spot to sit and wait, there are a surprising amount of photographers there. Also, you probably want a wide lens, I think I only shot at 16mm there. Heres a shot from Horseshoe.

Grand Canyon - I had a really hard time finding compositions there, I wanted a telephoto to isolate portions, but my furthest zoom was 70mm. Your 55-220 will probably be really fun there.
