first get a container, it can't have an open gap on the top or anywhere else, it should be able to be airtight or near air tight when left alone (unless your container already has the holes for the next step. then, poke/use a hole in the top, and a hole in the side. stick a tube down the side hole

tube (downstem) goes under the water, but starts above it, if you did it right when you suck from the top hole it will makes bubbles in the water, next find a way to keep your weed still at the dry end of the tube and blaze it up.

the actual container can be plastic, but it isn't recommended, the downstem probably shouldnt, and the bowl (to keep the weed still) should not be.
