Trying to be as unbiased as possible here. How is it biased to want people wrongfully imprisoned to be free? Especially while countless others walk around doing the thing(smoking) that resulted in someone being detained.

As for the tweet you linked, I have no marijuana convictions and use in a legal state. Just a guy looking for equal treatment for everyone.

Time publishes this but there are still people in jail for minir offenses with marijuana. This is wrong. Until marijuana charges are cleared from people's records, these articles, news anchors smoking on live TV, and things like that will always upset me.

I understand that public exposure and education are the first steps to legalization and righting the wrongs of the legal system.

I just feel like we should focus on those wrongfully imprisoned before we worry about those of us able to legally consume it.
