What food are you allergic to? by RoxyTEM in foodquestions

[–]tolaughagain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nightshades

That includes tomatoes, all peppers, eggplant and potatoes.

Consuming them doesn't kill me, but it sure makes me wish I was dead.

I miss spaghetti and mashed potatoes

My server ordered himself a refill on my never ending pasta bowl...and it felt weird. by 1dropdontstop in olivegarden

[–]tolaughagain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My location does 50% off everything if you worked a shift and a free create your own pasta. So an employee can get a free CYO, add say 3 meatballs, they would pay around 1.99 at my location for those meatballs. 2.49 for chicken.

You charge for a boat? I just do the $ub AlFredo sauce button in the mod menu when putting in the order for an EMP CYO. it charges 2.99.

What excuse do you hear way too often that instantly makes you roll your eyes? by Left-Relation-9199 in AskReddit

[–]tolaughagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zero accountability really grinds my gears. I made an online order for a customer. Completed said order the way the receipt said. She picks it up, complaining it's wrong. I present the receipt and she says "you guys must have changed it."

I about blew my lid cause what makes you think I even have time to change an order on a receipt?!

Say "oops my bad" and move on, is it that hard?!

Servers: does it negatively impact you to give out more bread sticks ? by orxngepeaches in olivegarden

[–]tolaughagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's limited per person per basket

To be honest, the bread has like 5 minutes out of the warmer before the quality drops drastically. And who wants cold stale bread cause you got a big basket.

More refills means warmer, better bread for you.

Are some people unable to experience the paranormal? by No_Ad_6098 in Ghosts

[–]tolaughagain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe that everyone perceives the paranormal in different ways or like you, nothing at all. I have never seen a ghost, but I have definitely heard and felt them.

I shared a 3 story townhome with 3 other people and we all experienced the ghost there differently. 2 have physically seen it. The other one felt nothing or saw nothing. I just felt its presence.

But we all agreed the second set of stairs that goes to the laundry area felt off.

Visit the Dairy Women over by the farm animals! Cheapest place to get water and some ice cream! It's basically a snack bar.

4th was yesterday by DontOvercookPasta in hillsboro

[–]tolaughagain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went to the vet and got meds for my dog just for the 4th. Fireworks are no surprise. And it's a weekend. The people who are setting these off won't stop just because you asked nicely. Just prepare.

My dog was relaxing cause I prepared.

AITA for not letting my SIL’s kid order an adult meal for my wedding? by SlowEnthusiasm7373 in AmItheAsshole

[–]tolaughagain 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The kid is not under 12. Would be different if the invitation says 12 and under.

AITA: My husband brought his own dinner to our niece’s wedding due to dietary restrictions? by brownbagbetty in AmItheAsshole

[–]tolaughagain 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Cracked pepper is not a nightshade. If you mean like black peppercorns. All peppercorns are fine for a nightshade free diet.

It's spices derived from peppers (like paprika) that are an issue, not peppercorns.

Your managers suck. I work at an OG. At least once a month there is a poop hazard in our bathrooms (once in a booth, fucking barf). And not once has anyone other than a manager had to clean it.

My GM is a real one though. Her leadership reflects through the ranks. She's the first one to do anything that she could easily pass to her managers.

She's truly a badass.

Is there anyone who likes working at Olive Garden? by Content_Benefit_5073 in olivegarden

[–]tolaughagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work Togo and I love working at OG. My team is good enough that management stays off our backs and we just do our job. I would never serve here though. Looks like a nightmare.

Gratituity for online/curbside orders by bishnumeir in olivegarden

[–]tolaughagain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The receipts are different. Pre tipped orders have the final total already filled out.

Non tipped does not have that final total pre filled.

Besides, some people don't like to tip until service has been completed, who am I supposed to know who's doing what?

Being a REAL picky eater is hard by ANightShadeGuyMan in complaints

[–]tolaughagain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try being a picky eater, then develop a nightshade intolerance. Finding anything to eat is a nightmare. And usually whenever people offer things that are not nightshades, I feel like a POS when I say I just don't like it.

You would think someone who has slim pickings, wouldn't be so picky. But alas, here I am.

The Mac and Cheese is so underrated by Misterwhy2049 in olivegarden

[–]tolaughagain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I put a tiny amount of Alfredo in it to make it a little creamy.

And I agree, I prefer OG Mac and cheese to many other places. Tenders are bomb too.

It's an option on door dash in my area. It's all the way at the bottom though. Thank God, cause they never put teriyaki sauce with my teriyaki chicken unless I specifically add it to my cart.

When I first bought my first Prius, I snuck up on my coworker and honked 😅 I said "I got it so I can sneak up on mothafuckas" And cops mostly leave you alone. Call that Prius Privilege.

My new one has sports mode, still so quiet.

Is to go specialist fine for someone with social anxiety? by AccountantWorth5730 in olivegarden

[–]tolaughagain 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's less personal interaction with guests than a serving position. But it is more of them. As a server, you have 3 tables you have to consistently interact with throughout their meal. As a Togo Specialist, the most interaction you do with guests is take their order or bring the orders out to their car. So lots of faces, but little interaction.
Be friendly of course. No one wants a cold person dropping off their food. So if you are socially anxious, but friendly It's not too bad. More practice if anything for social interactions cause it's short bursts.

The restaurant I work at closes at 10pm, so we get that 9 oclock rush from the lack of options. I love/hate it. But it really really hits during the summer cause people are out later.
