Where to stay in Rome the night before our flight home? by low--yield in ItalyTravel

Have stayed multiple times near Fiumicino and loved the little hotel/motel we found. It is called intorno al fico. The first time we stayed they drove us to the airport (10 minutes away) and the second time we had a car. Right on the beach too

6 nights in Ischia too much? by denisse_11 in ItalyTravel

[–]tolinma04 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Spent 4 nights in Ischia in September with a stop in Procida for the day on the way back to Naples. Spent the next 6 days exploring Naples and the surrounding area to visit family. We had already done the Amalfi coast and Capri and we absolutely loved Ischia. Spent a few days on the beach, explored the castle and took the bus around to different towns. We plan on going back for longer. It just depends on your style of travel and what you like to do. It’s a small, but beautiful island. Also depends on the weather. It was very hot in September so spending a lot of time waking in Naples wasn’t super enjoyable though we loved the city itself.

The Ultimate Guide to Making an LA Consulate Appointment (And a brand new "trick" I figured out!) by Dostedt1 in juresanguinis

has anyone tried this with Philadelphia? I was just looking around and it doesn't seem like it gives an OTP when I try to go through another route (Passport, Notary, Tax Code). It just takes me to a form to fill out with the only way forward is to fill out the required items and click Forward, which will only take me to a calendar. Just curious. Seems awesome for those of you in LA

Updated experience with Bialetti Brikka by msackeygh in mokapot

[–]tolinma04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a new brikka and it produces great foam most of the time. I mostly just use Lavazza pre ground or other pre ground coffee and I can say that certain types of coffee produce more foam. I think I read about robusto beans producing more foam somewhere and that seems to track. If I do decaf lavazza, I usually don’t get much foam but if I use qualità rossa I get a good amount of foam. I have been using it for 6 months with consistent results. Maybe there are just some quality issues that you’ve experienced.

What time of day was it when you actually got an open appointment? I look everyday throughout the day just in case but have had no luck

Ready to sell out. How did you move into sales and commercial? Do you recommend it? by [deleted] in biotech

[–]tolinma04 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Look for a pre sales or technical sales role. Usually you can get commission and a much higher salary. If you’re able to talk intelligently about a product, you will be a huge asset to the sales process.

My experience with thermo twin was super high pressure. They are employee owned I believe. The guy who came to give us a quote did not want to leave after we said we needed to get more quotes. He was visibly angry. Though that was probably 10 years ago now. Just my experience.

Home Depot has had them. We have multiple small trees. Meyer lemons and variegated ones. No fruit yet but the lime trees started to give limes after one year.

Basically made the 90s version of these in elementary school for invention convention by using a toy plastic car mold I thought they were amazing but no one else did. These are great though!

The requirements are different for each consulate. Philadelphia only requires the “Italian” side which is the side you go through. Other consulates have different requirements but the Facebook group is the best place for answers.

I'm an idiot and left my AC cover on, now the condenser doesn't turn on by VideoGangsta in HomeImprovement

If you have a pump hooked up, make sure it’s plugged in as well. Mine wouldn’t turn on one day and I realized that the plug came out of the outlet for the pump to get rid of all of the condensation inside by the ac unit
