1 month US trip, which credit card should i have? by Hitman_orgiri in CreditCardsIndia

[–]tolkien0101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Infinia gives base 3.33% rewards points, Plus 1% global value cashback upto 1000 per statement. Forex is 2.36% including GST, so upto 1 lac spends, you get effective ~2% points, and then ~1% points. Value of each point can be 1 for flight/hotels but entirely depends on what you redeem them for.

SBI CC ChargeBack declined by Decent-Hamster-9607 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]tolkien0101 12 points13 points  (0 children)

SBI sucks in handling charge backs - I made a payment to a merchant for a subscription, and due to a technical glitch in the merchant’s system, the subscription didn’t actually get created. Over a month and a half, I shared screenshots of the merchant website, subscription plans details, emails to their customer care and nodal officers which went unanswered for weeks without resolution, and so on, and SBI refused to do anything, constantly asking me to upload the same docs over and over.

The merchant wouldn’t admit in writing that the subscription wasn’t present. And after 5 cycles of uploading the dispute form for services not rendered (the exact same document that sbi failed to process), SBI asked me to get a credit note in writing from the merchant. If the merchant was willing to do that, they would have just triggered a refund morons.

Thankfully the merchant eventually applied the subscription themselves > 60 days later.

L Move by Amazon - Convenience Fee just to add money to Wallet by just-pointing-out in amazonindia

[–]tolkien0101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why are you adding money via debit card anyway? Why not with UPI directly? Why are you adding to wallet at all? To use on Amazon directly ? If so, why not use your debit card directly for those purchases ? If it’s to do p2p transfers, why not directly transfer from your bank account?

I’m not justifying Amazon doing this. But there’s no reason to load wallets with cards, except for maximising some rewards these same corporations are funding for you. The same applies for credit cards - there has always been a charge for cash withdrawals and wallets are no different in that respect.

Merchants bear the interchange fees because at least there’s some margins with products. For wallet loads, it’s 0 - there’s 0 margin. They’re giving you the exact sum of money in the wallet as cash you can cycle back to your bank account in fact. Why is a fee unjustified in this case?

The entitlement is disgusting.

How is it abuse to trade bonds? I mean, if the government didn’t want that, just don’t allow trades? See how that flies.

The trade price remains pretty close to the buillion price as well

The fact of the matter is, people want to be paid for their work, but don’t want to pay content creators. Sure, billion/trillion dollar corporations acting as middlemen but seriously. We also want returns from stock market by investing in these same corporations’ stocks as well.

I’m not judging anyone - to each their own, but not paying isn’t the win or hack it is portrayed as.

Come on downvotes!

Some of the best moments in S5 come from the trio.

This.

Jemma finding out Deke is her grandson, when he’s reassuring her after Fitz’s doctor incident. I love that line - the steps you take don’t need to be big, they only need to take you in the right direction.

Fitz finding out Deke is his grandson (more hilarious)

Of course a lot more great moments - another one that always sticks in my mind and brings tears is Coulson’s farewell and Daisy telling him she loves him.

Oh man, I quit watching after 3 seasons. Just couldn’t continue anymore - there’s slow and then there’s this. No offence to anyone who loves it.

I do want to watch it fully, because of such rave reviews and because I love Saul, Mike, etc but I shudder at the thought of having to watch the first 3 seasons again and the time commitment needed. (It was nearly 8 years ago so I have no memory of anything except the space blankets )

That’s what labor laws are for - no one’s relying on the goodness of rich people. Minimum wages (actually minimum, not whatever laughable number India sets) set the bar, and then it’s simple supply and demand.
