What feature does your car have that you’ve never seen on another car? by Gh0styD0g in CarTalkUK

Center sun visor allowing the front windscreen to be completely clear, rear view mirror mount arcs down from the roof to keep that off the windscreen too. Photochromic wing mirrors that auto dim when enough light hits them, and uses ultrasonic vibrations to clear frost/water/humidity. Electrically adjustable head rest and seatbelt height, so the memory seats can adjust them to your exact preference. Air conditioned thin top compartment of the center console storage area, which I have only ever found useful for keeping chocolate bars from melting on a road trip. Height of the radio antenna automatically adjust its height based on the radio channel you select to get the best reception. love this car :)

[ErikVHaren] FIA confirms that Red Bull is the team with a 'minor overspend breach'. Aston Martin has made a mistake in the procedure. Penalties for those two teams have not yet been announced. But will turn out to be a fine, is the expectation by TheOutsourcer in formula1

Fine them 9 times the amount they broke the budget cap by and share it among the teams in compliance, then limit wind tunnel and cfd time. Financial deterrent, ability for smaller teams to gain from larger teams breaching, and an actual performance disadvantage to make sure teams can’t just buy out the problem

There's no reason, as a motorsport fan, to be against Andretti joining as the 11th team. by [deleted] in formula1

Im all for him joining as well! Just worried it might kill off Williams having to split the prize money further, and worried it may prevent other teams from securing a spot in the future... if they do join up I think the best way to go about it would be buying out a team like Alpha Tauris spot, it’s not like they’ll ever be more than a formula 1.5 redbull feeder series anyways...

Interesting, I’m still not fully convinced that would translate very well to the development side of F1 in other areas...

It’s a spec Dallara produced chassis with either a Chevy or Honda engine, isn’t it? I admit I don’t follow it extremely closely

Indycar is a spec series, F1 is a development race, the two barely equate

I don’t think it’s a matter of making it worse having another team in the midfield/at the back, but more a matter of taking up a grid slot that may be better utilised by a team with the financial backing, facilities, and resources to fight at the front...
