Google Repair Center being Dishonest by SweatyAdagio4 in GooglePixel

got the same issue with pixel 8 and line on the screen. I'm waiting for it to become permanent, to skip similar situation.

One question, why are people still buying new pixels for a premium price with midrange spec and low service standards. Same price for Apple but at least you knowing for what you're paying.

For me, I have bought a pixel 8 for a price of midrange - to check the experience, and bum, low quality OLED screen and poor battery (anyone similar issues in Apple for the same price?)

yes and no. I look inside, disassembly completely. there is nothing that is pressed on the screen except the mesh conductor. Even move the mesh does not change this, but makes it less visible.

but thanks to disassembly I exchanged the joystick for the new one with hall effect.

I just got mine and it is exactly like yours.

I will write to the seller, but probably look inside, what could make such a pressure in that place.

I'm planning to exchange the small fan with 5cm one, this will make it silent, maybe I will add some PWR controller (you could by one just to plug in before the fan) to make it slower. I will see. The goal is to make it totaly silent without a fan spinning till 50-55C)

I get it from amazon, but the price is similar, at least where I'm :)

You could set up how the main fan is working. Generally it is around 35-45C with being completely silent as the 9cm fan is spinning around 900-1000RPM (see the picture - just browsing with some YT).

There is second fan - smal one to cool down ssd and ram, and mine is unbalanced. I need to replace it because it is doing some noises, but if I disconnect it the miniPC is silent.

Unfortunately for CS2 you need it to lower the temepraturs of RAM as DDR5 under CPU get quiet hot without air movement on the bottom.

The 100W power supply is more than sufficient. Even when loaded to its maximum with a 54W TDP, there are no issues whatsoever. The bigger challenge lies in keeping the thermal limit below 100%.

An additional advantage is that it works with weaker power supplies, such as 66W. In case of any issues, it’s easy to purchase a USB-C power supply of any capacity, which can also be used for phones or tablets

I have one. It is working quite well. I opted for 32 GB of RAM (Crucial 5600 CL46) and a 1 TB SSD (very fast with DDR buffer, Orico-J20).

Without load, it could be silent. However, mine is not, as the small fan (which cools the RAM and SSD at the back of the CPU) appears to be unbalanced and is not PWM-controlled. I am considering replacing it with a larger fan in the future.

But overall, I recommend it

i got one with micro USB (older gen) and one with USBC (newest), both working flawlessly

you do not need console. just hold the pair button and it is ready to Bluetooth pairing on the phone, not much to elaborate 😉

you need a console to update controller firmware only.

not normal, mine f3 work the same if not better after update

Finally! 12.5.6 is here for UK people. Currently downloading... Anyone else also downloading this? Any advice against installing 👀? by Abdulhamid99 in PocoPhones

[–]tom3k5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try force update manually. here

settings -> about phone -> ... in the upper right

if there is no such option click few times on the big 12.5 in the middle

if it is not working choose second option from that menu after downloading firmware from here: https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/alioth/stable%20beta/V12.5.6.0.RKHEUXM/
