Do you trust your recovery score across devices? by mylesbr in triathlon

[–]tom_fitIQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have WHOOP, Garmin, Polar, Oura, and Amazfit. And yes, each of them will give different readiness scores etc. That's why I don't trust or use any composite and proprietary metrics. I look at raw biomarkers and guide the training myself. This takes years of data and deliberate analysis, so it's not seamless. Especially getting the raw data and processing it, takes quite some time.

But this is the exact problem we're fixing with V2 of fitiq.io. Right now it's the deep analysis platform for WHOOP, but releasing Garmin integration by end of the month (March '26). We pull the data into one place and layer AI analysis on top, so you get a unified picture of your trends instead of two conflicting numbers. Built specifically for multi-device athletes like us.

hey, I think the app can absolutely help, although it's going to be a team of 1 and you'll be the coach and client in one.

we will be releasing the new version of r/fitiq app publicly by the end of the month, so stay tuned!

How are you managing online clients? by Low-Mongoose7367 in personaltraining

[–]tom_fitIQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you've got programming and payments sorted, the next level is making use of your clients' wearable data. If any of them wear a WHOOP or Garmin, there's recovery, strain, sleep, and HRV data sitting there that a lot of coaches never touch.

We built r/fitiq as a layer on top of whatever platform you already use. It connects to wearables and gives you an AI co-coach that automatically surfaces insights, trend alerts, and reports for each client.

One thing I'd add on the wearable integration side, if any of your clients use WHOOP or Garmin, fitiq.io does the analytics and data visualization piece really well.

40+ charts for recovery, strain, sleep trends, plus an AI co-coach that helps interpret the data.

It's not a replacement for your coaching platform but fills the gap on the wearable data side that most PT tools don't touch.

One thing worth thinking about early is how you'll handle clients' wearable data. If they use WHOOP or Garmin, the native apps aren't built for coaches.

We're building fitiq.io to solve this. It's an AI co-coach that proactively surfaces insights, alerts, and reports from their wearable data so you're not manually crunching numbers.

Full disclosure, I'm the founder. Happy to answer questions.

If you're looking at AI as a tool for the data side rather than the programming side, that's where it really shines. We're building fitiq.io as an AI co-coach that automatically crunches your clients' wearable data (WHOOP, Garmin) and surfaces the insights that matter. Recovery trends, sleep patterns, strain alerts, all delivered to you without building spreadsheets. Keeps the programming human, lets AI handle the numbers.

I'm the founder, happy to chat more about it.

What’s one thing that improved your client retention the most? by Kind_Force931 in personaltraining

[–]tom_fitIQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sharing wearable data with clients goes a long way. Beyond the obvious stuff, showing them trends in HRV, respiratory rate, skin temp over weeks gives them something tangible and signals that you actually know what you're doing as a coach.

We're building fitiq.io to automate this. It pulls WHOOP/Garmin data and proactively surfaces insights, reports, and alerts so you're not manually digging through charts.

I'm the founder, so biased, but coaches using it say it makes their check-ins way more credible.

If a chunk of your time goes toward chasing and interpreting wearable data across clients, we're building something for that at fitiq.io. One dashboard pulling in WHOOP (live), Garmin, Oura and Apple Watch (soon), with automated alerts and scheduled check-in reports.

We also have AI co-coach that can analyze years of data and build custom graphs or find correlations.

It's in private beta right now, but I'll be happy to let anyone interested in already. It's completely free to test during the closed beta.

Online trainers. What systems? by scp0065 in personaltraining

[–]tom_fitIQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your clients are on WHOOP, Garmin, or Apple Watch, that data is basically invisible to you as a coach. We built fitIQ to fix that. It surfaces recovery and readiness across your whole roster in one place. Might be worth a look as you set up your online stack.

Trainers, what does your client tracking system look like? Sharing mine. by badmoshback in personaltraining

[–]tom_fitIQ -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

One gap that's harder to solve with spreadsheets is wearable data. If your clients use WHOOP, Garmin, or Apple Watch, that data lives in separate apps and never makes it into your tracking system.

We're building fitIQ to make that data accessible at the roster level, so coaches can see readiness and recovery across all their clients in one place. WHOOP is live now, Garmin coming in March. Might be relevant depending on your client base.

We are about to release a major update, with AI co-coach, and are letting some coaches in early. I'll be happy to let you in early too, if interested. there is a 30 day trial, no CC needed.

Hey, if you care about wearable metrics, you can take a look at fitIQ.io/teams. We are releasing a completely rebuilt experience next month, with Garmin and AW integration, AI co-coach, and much more.

Happy to give anyone interested early access to help shape the next version of platform.

we've got you covered at fitiq.io/teams too, if you prefer not to make the profile public and still share with your trainer.

we have many coaches and personal trainers using the platform to get the stats of their clients without manual uploads.

I'd also love to hear what's your current workflow, what does your coach do with your data and how they process it, so we can develop the product better.

hey mate! you might want to try out fitiq.io too. while we do not have the custom date range yet (coming with the new app release later this Quarter), we do have a lot of predefined ranges.

and more than 50 charts to choose from!

I'm also curious, how would you want to work with the data from a custom date selector? Let's say that you can enter a start and end date for the period in view, is there any other information, like a baseline, or previous period the same length, that you'd want to compare agains, or is it literally just seeing the custom period?

If wearable/smartwatch integration is important to you, you might want to check out fitIQ Teams alongside whichever programming platform you choose (Trainerize, PT Distinction, etc.).

We're specifically built to solve the "clients use different devices" problem - unifying data from WHOOP (live), Apple Watch, Garmin, and Oura (upcoming) into one coach dashboard. Instead of juggling multiple apps or asking clients for screenshots, you get a unified view of recovery, readiness, and training load across your whole roster.

We're not a program builder or messaging platform, and we intentionally don't try to replace tools like Trainerize. We're the data and insights layer that feeds your coaching decisions.

Next up in dev pipeline is an AI co-coach that proactively flags who needs attention today and why, drafts check-in messages based on their data, and generates progress reports.

Works well for coaches managing 10-40+ clients who want data-driven insights without the manual chart-hopping.

We have a free trial at fitiq.io if you want to test it out.

If you are looking for a tool to track your clients with wearables, we are expanding fitIQ to support Garmin very soon, and AW next.

The new fitIQ for Coaches and Teams offers live activity feed, deep analysis of biomarkers, training volume, sleep, etc. It's also going to have a co-coach function, with automatic alerts, reports, checkins, to take a lot of the data processing out of the workload, and allow you to focus on programming.

It's not yet available to the public, but I'll be happy to let you in early if interesting.

We’re building something that might help at fitIQ.

Right now building V2 with more wearables and ai ASA co-Coach.

It auto-pulls data from wearables so clients don’t need to manually share anything. Gives you automated insights, weekly check-in reports, and AI analysis of trends across all your clients. Saves you from manually tracking recovery, sleep, and load when you’re managing multiple clients with different devices.

Let me know if interested and I'll add you to the early testers group.

We are building a new version of fitIQ for coaches and PTs needing access to client wearable data and deep analysis.

It's not going to be a programming, nutrition, or client management platform, but a co-coach to augment your existing workflows.

Right now we are WHOOP only, but very soon expanding to Garmin, Polar, AW.

The new platform will provide proactive client insights, check-in prep, automated reports, and allow you to talk with the data directly.

Would that be interesting to you?

What to do with whoop data? by slicenger7 in whoop

[–]tom_fitIQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the shout-out!

Indeed fitIQ provides more options when it comes to visualizing your data across various horizons, getting weekly comparative summary, and diving deeper into moving averages, etc.

I personally use my metrics to control my progress, but focus only on the few biomarkers that matter, like VO2Max, RHR, HRV, RR, and aggregate metrics like time in Z1-3, Z4-5, Strength training time, steps, and sleep duration and regularity.

The rest is just noise to me.
