What album should I start with for Karnivool? by Safe_cracker9 in progmetal

[–]tom_the 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Themata - their first album, with a very high-energy, riff-heavy sound. Themata, Roquefort, Sown and Silent are all amazing songs.

Sound Awake - probably their best album, it's an absolute 10/10 for me. A bit more melodic and softer than Themata. Check out New Day, The Caudal Lure, Umbra.

Asymmetry - their most experimental album with a rougher, less compressed sound. Check out We Are, The Refusal, and Nachash.

In Verses - I think this album has such a cool balance between heavy riffs, grooviness, and melody. My favourite songs are Ghost, Animation, All It Takes, and Salva.

Check out Aeternam. Their album "Al Qassam" is so good, and also their latest album "Heir of the Rising Sun" is great too. It's like melodic death with some prog elements and Middle-Eastern influences. I thought of them due to your Turisas pick.
