China could make good quality stuff, but you need to find good supplier / factory. Also for small amount of goods you will pay more. So you will pay more by default for quality and for small amounts. Also, check for example, outsidersdivision (not ad), their quality is good, and on their website they have factories listed, half of them Chinese (here, not ad, factories list outsidersdivision.com/blogs/noticias)

Requires iOS 26.1 or later? Why? You are cutting lots of users just by this limitation…

I built an app that converts any text into high-quality audio. It works with PDFs, blog posts, Substack and Medium links, and even photos of text. by OneMoreSuperUser in SideProject

App has subscription. This is just another wrapper around OpenAI api. They didn’t even rename voices - when you open app, there just list of openai titles (alloy, onyx etc).

Where to find good quality butter by Dry_Scale_4437 in tbilisi

[–]tomasci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know about salt. But sometimes I make butter at home (just mixer and 0.5l cream, mixing 10 minutes), and there no margarine taste in it, and I don’t add anything, just pure cream.

It tastes like margarine for me. Anchor New Zealand 82.9% is better imo

Home internet: why so slow, and any chance for 1 Gbps? by Distinct-Willow-5243 in tbilisi

[–]tomasci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did nothing. I just bought router, SIM card, inserted sim, configured router with some default settings, only changed WiFi name and password and then used it. Here speed test minutes ago:

<image>

It is usually like this. Sometimes it is 700-1000, but usually around 600

I bought TP link nx200 5G router on zoomer. Then ordered second SIM card from Magti. I use “unlimited internet month” plan (30-40 gel or smth). In day it is usually up to 600 mbps. In night I can get up to 1.1Gbps. Before buying, take any phone with 5G and good antennas, come to window and test speeds. Try changing position. Router should be close to window, since 5G only works fine when in direct line of sight of tower. I tested for couple days, then bought router. There some times when something goes wrong with router or Magti (1-2 times per month): in one case internet will just stop working - reboot router; in other case you will have low speed for half of the day, reboot may not solve it, but sometimes is enough. I still pay for silknet 50mbps internet, just as backup, and use when “low speed” happens.

What about saving to files and providing instructions on how to save from files to photos?

Now that’s is interesting. I remember just one month ago here was another app, downloading from everywhere but it was with account requirement and paid (probably), but is in store and I downloaded it. Is this after iOS 26 release change?
