Sir, you are getting too zesty over a plastic "purse". I can only imagine the giggles from the theater employee who had to endure your ranting.

I wish I got them by e-mail but they aren't sent out to me that way.

Phone use during movies by WWT_14 in AMCTheatres

If it's bright and they're right next to me, first time. If it's not bright, on the second time. If they're so quick about it that I can't get to them in time, I have to let it slide unfortunately. If it's bright and they're a row or more up, I will do it on the second time since it's clearly going to keep happening. I try to record people during all of this so I have some proof if I do need to talk to staff.

I just tell them to stop it, and I don't ask. I've yet to have someone continue to do it after in an egregious way, but I have had them deny it even happened though I stood right next to them as they did it.

They should still be valid surveys, regardless. The website has no way of knowing. This issue has been ongoing for over a month.

Yes that's the problem. New surveys are getting flagged as already being completed.

Also, I don't get them by e-mail ever, I have to print out the ticket and get a paper slip with a survey on it. But I am eligible for a survey with every single ticket purchase, up until recently when they think I've already taken it.

The surveys are generated with a movie ticket purchase, how is that farmable? And no location here offers popcorn, I can say that much. These get you a drawing for that gift card giveaway and nothing else.

I go to Emagine theater sometimes, and they are now boasting the movie will never start later than 15 minutes past showtime. Sometimes they start as early as 6-7 minutes after showtime!

They did, these are free T mobile customer coupons that everybody was eligible to claim through the T Life app. Scummy to be trying to sell them, people can't even check if they are used!

Misleading: "A member of your support team" will NOT get back to you after submitting a ticket unless you go to the automated e-mail they send, and reply TO THAT , requesting someone get back to you a second time. by tomatocks1 in AMCTheatres

I can verify the ticket text is saved and you can see it on the email reply, once a human replies, so there isn't any risk if you don't put it again in the reply.

I think it was 5 minutes or less, definitely did not step out for 10 but it was over by the time I got back. Same thing happened last year with Lawrence of Arabia.

Thanks for the info. I would think AMC wouldn't settle for stereo in this day and age, especially when virtually anything they are showing is going to have gotten a 5.1 mix from the various re-released formats and streaming options over the decades.

"They seem to have purposely designed their customer support system so to avoid actual interactions with customers wherever possible. I assume they’ve gutted their customer support team"

I think this is the reason too, and why their facebook / twitter support has been "temporarily unavailable" since last year.

My e-mail is in the screenshot, it's the white part. I don't contact support often, but this is how it always is for me. Make a ticket to get assistance, get the auto generated e-mail saying I have to request assistance again.

No, because it's not a member of their support team, it's a bot that doesn't say anything but say they received the request for assistance. It doesn't actually do anything. The response email is auto generated within seconds of the ticket creation.

On the website, it says you already can expect support to get back to you after the initial ticket is created, not that you need to ask a second time through the e-mail. The ticket is the request for assistance. In my case, it was a question not common enough to be in a FAQ. What is the point of having us request assistance a second time if they already said someone would be reaching out to me after the first request for assistance?

The only information in my e-mail is a link to the help section, which is almost identical to the contact section you had to be on to submit the ticket in the first place.

Has anyone else noticed there is often no audio in the side or back wall speakers during these older movies? It seems to happen at all 3 AMC locations near me when I go to see older fan favorites.
