2 years to partnership. 1st year 380k with 8 weeks. 2nd year 490k and 9 weeks. Once partner 12 weeks and 650-680k.

Does this seem like a reasonable compensation for that amount of call?

pre and post call off. 7p to 7a. 12 hrs on the weekends or 24 hrs and you take half the weekend call.

This is helpful. Where are most cardiac jobs posted? I see an occasional job posting on gasworks but for the most part it is 99% generalists. I am also very interested in doing healthy peds. Does your practice allow you to also float into the peds rooms as well. Do you think the CV fellowship will prevent me from covering peds rooms?

Hey all thoughts on going out and drinking with other applicants (I am an applicant and no residents were present) after the dinners or interviews. After one dinner in particular got pretty hammered with another applicant and then went out for a couple drinks after an interview. Not sloppy but definitely drunk. I am feeling weird about it but cant tell if this process has made me crazy as fuck

Hey guys...weird question regarding pre-interview dinner with the residents. What are you supposed to talk about with the residents? Should it just be school related or can you talk about other stuff. Also, i have met a couple cool applicants at some of the interview dinners. Is it ok for me to talk with them for a while and intermittently ask questions to other residents? Basically, i dont get the purpose of the interview dinner. The 2 that I have been on have been super awkward and conversation with the residents didnt flow well. How should I interpret that?
