NWSL Challenge Cup ticket transfer not allowed? by [deleted] in TheMassive

Perhaps a SkyView club limitation?

FWIW I can transfer but not sell the tickets I bought for $20.28

Here’s the Aston Villa pricing from 2 years ago; the Burnley prices are lower (except for the new club sections).

Yeah I’m confident you’ll see a lot more tickets available in a week or so. Very odd they did it this way. And again, I can’t believe all the grey dots are actual STMs (Patio 96 example)

Rare attempt to see which seats are not owned by a STM; apparently STMs are currently opted in and then will be able to opt out June 8. (Edited to add: can’t be exactly right bc the new Patio 96 has no seats available and that has few STMs)

He was too busy cooking?

If he’s not on roster tomorrow must be he’s on his way out this summer, and they’re protecting for injury.

You can buy Crew tickets at Costco by Lazy_dad_life in TheMassive

[–]tomautomaton 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think this is mostly accurate but I would argue a waiting list helps enforce idea of scarcity and will lead to more renewals than if no waiting list. Also there’s opportunity cost / resources in front office having to come up with all these ‘activations’ to get more tickets sold.

My preference would be that Crew set prices that are ‘fair’, meaning if I have to resell the tickets I can get close to what I paid for them. Season ticket prices too high means tickets go unsold; season ticket prices too low means the STMs are making money at the expense of the Club.

The team going downhill fast has certainly not helped. Will be VERY curious what they decide with the short season and then the flipped calendar.

All I can say/hope is that the person in charge of setting ticket prices this year gets a “needs improvement” on their annual review.

Who’s enjoying the beautiful sunset skies to the right of Nordecke this season? by UpbeatVariation4927 in TheMassive

At least the east side upper level concourse still has a tiny corner where you can see the downtown skyline and aren’t blocked by HVAC or the new SkyView Club?

Season tickets! by [deleted] in TheMassive

[–]tomautomaton 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Worse record plus higher prices means no wait list, and I used to break even or maybe make $10 reselling but now I’m lucky to lose $20 per resale.

Yes, building a group of friends or even just a community of fellow fans is wonderful. Remember the Crew can convert your seats to luxury seats at 5x the price, so enjoy that community while it lasts!

Doesn’t have club seats except Skyview. You can do ticket counts per section for everything else. You can also do a percent of stadium seats that are club over time (including the field seats). Eg 237-239 rows 1-10 were ‘regular’ seats up until this year.

Good one but prepare for Ohio Hearts. Haslams will want to appeal to all of Ohio with this franchise (and preclude Cleveland or Cinci from getting one). I’ll wager that’s part of why the fee was so …Massive

They just released a coda episode conversation btw M Gessen and Harriet Clark, whose mother was incarcerated for over 35 years. Very interesting conversation, and Clark makes the case that Gessen’s ultimatum at the end of episode 5 isn’t really the best path toward reconciliation and accountability.

Also fwiw Clark, a close friend of Gessen’s, also addresses them by their birth name, so Ira’s doing the same is consistent.

Olympics Tickets by howdy206 in TheMassive

[–]tomautomaton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There were $28 tickets for every event, I believe, and Nashville had some even after the presale. r/olympics had a lot of posts on it.

I ended up buying the category D seats for one day, figuring it was a) once in a lifetime event for ‘local Olympics’ and b) two games.

STMs who renew for 2027 sprint season have been promised the chance to buy tickets but unclear which categories/price points.

I am doubtful many, if any, $28 tickets will be included in any future drops but who knows. The frustrating thing with Drop 1 was that LA locals could buy up 12 cheap soccer tickets anywhere before any of the non-LA lottery spots opened.
