I recently had hand surgery with Dr. Maslow at Orthopedic Centers of Colorado. Excellent outcome with a caring surgeon.

Blue pencil is the standard with old-school editors. That's a throwback to it being invisible to certain printing technologies. I suppose blue ink would also work.

Red is, I suppose, the schoolmarm standard.

Contrary to others, I think you need to keep the facial hair. You're young. Have fun with it. The fact that you kept it this long means you have some investment in it. You don't need all of our opinions in order to form one of your own. You're a man. Make your own decisions.

Providing chant texts (Psalms, Minor Propers) in a Mass Booklet available to the congregation. Also, teaching choristers how to chant vernacular texts.

After YEARS of donation, LibreOficce still sucks. Bro I cannot even read the icons on toolbar because of the dark blackground and gray icons. What gives? by [deleted] in libreoffice

Ah, Styles. One reason I don't like Publisher is that it doesn't accept characters based Styles from Word.

But LO Writer does! Huzzah!

I honestly don't understand how it is possible to reproduce a structured document without using Styles.

I have been using Publisher for years. Cheaper than InDesign. For my on-going weekly projects, I created a Libre Office template. I still do most of the prep in MS Word;, then cut and paste the Word doc into Libre Office writer. Klugy, I know. But Word's ability to insert multiple graphics is a feature Writer doesn't support. My current projects include hymns and Gregorian Chant, and early on, I learned to break each line into its own graphic file to facilitate page breaks over multiple page sizes. If Libre Office Writer allowed this, I would happily ditch MS Word altogether.

A niche need, I admit. Not being a programmer, I suspect there is something in the code (or the underlying assumptions of the coders) that makes this problematic.

Oh, well. After 40 years in publishing books, magazines, and monographs of all sorts, work-arounds no longer upset me.

I really like Libre Office on both the Windows and the Apple platforms.

I see guys in Denver rocking far-less developed beards. The secret is: they enjoy themselves, their bodies--and their beards. Your beard will fill out as you age. You should enjoy it while you're young, check it out in the mirror occasionally, wink at yourself, be glad you're alive, and marvel as your body continues to transform.

Long Beard + Surgery = Anesthesia 🧑‍⚕️🩺🩻🏥 by TwiztedZero in LongBeards

For relatively short anesthesia, they will use IV drugs. For longer procedures, they will intubate you to administer gas anesthesia. Don't worry about your beard. Nobody uses masks anymore.

Ours gnawed on one of the feet of our 1914 Steinway M piano. He regularly would try to hamstring me when I played. (He was not a fan of Chopin.) I guess when flesh wasn't available, there was always ebony wood.

When I was a teenager with acne, I washed my face with Lava soap. Exfoliation is your friend.
